Well Golden Week has begun, which means holidays for almost all! Tomorrow i am even off to Kamakura for a night with Shumpei and i will get to see all it has to offer. I will have my camera ready for all those temple shots….when living in Japan you have to get used to photos of temples and shrines taking up a lot of space on your computer.
So far in golden week i have had yakiniku dinner with shumpei, a girls night in with Nic and Cat, bought a TV and a very cheap table for the tv (and it turns out i can’t use if because it is too flimsy…and i wasn’t thinking about earthquakes and such when i bought it although turns out i should of been) luckily it was only about 15 dollars! (i know you are thinking…what did i expect from a table stand thing that cheap) so i will have to go get another one. Oh and i have planted tomato plants and also some strawberry seeds in a potplant on my very small apartment veranda. This is them now…in Autumn hopefully it will have fruit!
I know they look slightly pathetic at the moment but give me some time. I thought maybe plants would make my apartment more homely. Not that it isn’t. In fact i love my apartment…but aren’t plants something every apartment should have?
Last night i also went to meet up with James to watch some aussie rules. The St Kilda game because he is a fan… We only saw the second half, but it was good to watch even if in australia i don’t usually care about football at all. Bit of an uproar at the end when it was called a tie…i do not know enough about AFL to comment!
