Golden week is nearly over

ARGHHHH…i hate computers some time. I had just done a post, complete with photos, and some how i deleted it….it is lost in cyber space somewhere.

Well i suppose i could attempt to write it again…but it won’t be the same.

Golden week is almost over, in fact tonight is technically the last night.

I have been looking at a lot of other blogs recently and them all seem to have a theme…for example, knitting, or other kinds of craft, or celebrity gossip, or food. I suppose if i had to choose something it would have to be food, since i know nothing about any of the other topics… I could start taking photos of stuff i cook, and see what happens. Last night i made pesto chicken and cream gnocchi for Catherine and I…and a salad with sweet chili and soy sauce dressing. I did take a photo, but it tasted a lot better than it looks…so i will just let everyone imagine what it looked like.

I am feeling a bit better now, so i guess i will be able to job hunt next week for a new job.

On Thursday i went to Sea Paradise, an aquarium theme park ( bit of a cross between Dreamworld, Seaworld and Underwater World…) and i saw flamingos there…as well as a lot of other stuff, like nemo’s and turtles and seals and dolphins…plus they had the worlds only roller coaster that goes out over the sea. Which was pretty amazing i guess. Not to mention that they had ice-cream shops with flavours like wasabi, soy sauce and weird stuff like that ( plus the old favourites like chocolate). Masa, ( don’t know what he was thinking) bought the wasabi one, and i ( don’t know what i was thinking) actually tried it. As you can imagine it was disgusting. I had never seen flamingos in real life and they were just beautiful. Didn’t get home til really late though cos i accidentally caught the wrong train, and instead of taking me 50 minutes to get home it took me 2 and a half hours…thankfully i had an ipod with full battery. I got home just before midnight to find Shumpei had washed all the sheets, bed covers and our clothes as well as vacuumed and cleaned the dishes….I have found a keeper! One last thing…i had forgotten how good Japanese fireworks are. There is nothing better than seeing fireworks go off over the water, and the reflections of them shimmering back towards you. It is a shame i am not a better photographer…otherwise maybe the photo would do it some justice…
