I suppose it is Engrish…
I found some photos on a memory card that i had completely forgotten about…i was looking for another photo and couldn’t find it so thought i would stick in my other 5 memory cards (i don’t exactley know why i have so many) just to see what was on them…and this is what i came up with….
About 6 weeks ago my friend Cat moved into her new apartment…like me, she hadn’t been back in Japan long so we had to go buy a lot of things…it is amazing what you need when you move to another country with nothing. You have to start at the very begginning and get cups, knives, forks, and everything else.
We were in Tokyu hands…and i discovered a range of very expensive garbage bins…with some delightful English on them (which made me laugh)
This on a garbage bin? What is the message it is trying to portray….
I am all for saving the earth and recycling…I really am. I want the world to still be around in a a million years time AND I live in Musashino-shi and even though there are 7 different categories for recycling and seperating rubbish i still do it…Yes i even take off all the wrappers and lids of the plastic bottles…but really, the picture below is going too far…(So is paying over 50 dollars for a bin that says this)
A nice long message to help save the world… and allow everyone to live harmonously in a socially just manner
This sort of engish can be found on a lot of things…stay tuned for pencilcases, notebooks, t-shirts, photo albums and more….Will have to remember to actually start taking photos of them….now i am almost oblivious to the ENGRISH that goes on around me…
