When i asked Shumpei what he wanted me to bring him back from Australia he said a meat pie. I told him i didn’t think i’d get them through customs, or that they would travel well. But i didn’t want to dissapoint so tonight i attempted to make a meat pie in my toaster oven (and you can’t adjust the temperature)…also, pastry, flour and meat all in one very small kitchen was a bit of an effort…and caused a lot of mess.
It tasted a lot better than it looks thankfully!!!

I will take your word on the fact that it tastes better than it looks, considering the fact that a lot of the “aussie” meat pie’s down here taste a lot worse than they look
But I think you should get points for using a toaster oven for a meat pie!!
Thanks! I actually surprised myself i think, i thought it would taste terrible. Shumpei asked me if we had any more….It took me so long to make our two (and clean up after that) so unfortunately it will be awhile until he has another one!!
I cook a lot of things in the toaster oven, since i don’t have an oven, but since it is all one temperature it is a little tough sometimes!!! Home made pizza from it though is brilliant!
