Gratitude & complaints…

A couple of notes.

Dear two ladies in restaurant,

Next time you sit at a table beside someone and decide to discuss their breasts perhaps at least come up with a codeword…or wait until said person is not sitting next to you and listening to your conversation while they eat their pasta.

I am sorry if you thought it was ok to discuss my breasts…perhaps thinking I did not understand you but let me assure you it is not OK. I did not discuss the fact that you LADY 1 had on the most hideous jacket I have ever seen nor did I tell discuss the fact that you Lady 2 had green hair…Sure in my head I was thinking WHY THE HELL DO YOU HAVE GREEN HAIR but I did not talk about it in front of you. Want to know why? Well firstly I do not know you and secondly well it would just be plain rude.

I hope that you both think about this in the future…

Lulu

Dear kind man on train,

Thank you for picking up my book this morning when I fell asleep and dropped it on the floor…and I think into your bag. I do apoligise but getting up at 7:15 really took it out of me and I am not used to travelling from Chiba to Tokyo…that extra distance is not fun.

I appreciate the fact that you also just picked it up, and placed it on my lap. I know you were not trying to touch me up and really were just doing a kind deed.

I am sorry I woke up suddenly as you did it and scared the hell out of you…Please do not think that the look I gave you was one of contempt…I was slightly shocked but once I figured out what happened was really grateful.

I know I said thank you at the time but wish to say it again now.

Thanks, Lulu

I was going to post today about otherstuff but it is after midnight and well I just can not be bothered…Might do a random post tomorrow though with all sort of stuff including the fact that I think I am in love with Frances Whiting and want to be her…..mainly cos she writes well, is hilarious and is from Brisbane! Oh and how weird dalmations are…

I do have other gratitue and complaint notes but don’t want to bore you all to death…or make you fall asleep and drool on your keyboards!

they were discussing your boobs in front of you?!?! thats a bit full on. I hope it was in the very least a favourable discussion!

Oh Lulu, you do NOT want to be Frances Whiting.

I saw her on “Extra” yesterday decoration a Christmas tree with some other Triple M (I think) people and other Brisbane “celebs”. She seriously looked like she’s downed a couple of bottles of wine, fallen asleep on the floor then realised she had to do TV and jumped up and ran out the door. He hair was stringy and unbrushed and she just looked like a total mess. She would have been more at home standing on a corner in the city shouting at the traffic.

You are much better off just being Lulu, dearest :)

P.S Did the ladies at least say good stuff about your boobs? You should have told them to take a picture or something :P

P.P.S Dalmations are weird, 101 Dalmations has just ruined them for me, they just seem so tacky now. Who even knew dog breeds could become tacky?

    Hi Lulu,

Haven’t read your blog for awhile. Only just skim read, but plan to come back and catch up after my japanese exam next week.I’m doing a second year subject. You never told me which uni you went to. I’m at UQ. I love Frances Whiting too! i used to love reading her column in the sunday mail every week. Reading your blog is making me miss Japan and Tokyo so much. Thank you!.

P.S I’m also doing level 2 JLPT, hardly done any study. Very week at Kanji but prepared to give it a chance and see how I go.

    Love, Katie

Oh Lulu, after yesterday’s hormone-addled rant, are you trying to tempt me to reveal my darkside again with the old lady conversation? Cheeky mares. Mind you, if you were in Liverpool, they wouldn’t have minded if you could spaek the language or not.
I will be restrained today for the lunar madness has subsided.
Reminds me I was on the train in Kanagawa one day and my best friend was visiting and we were talking about how cute Japanese guys were then we started loudly discussing the cheekbones of the guy sitting close to us and saying how cute he was. He got off at the same stop as us and then came up and said ‘Excuse me but do you know how to get to the Zama army base’ He was American. I’m not sure if he winked or not, but we both blushed like blushing things.

  5. Deb: Well the conversation was kind of about how it didn’t seem like i had a padded bra on yet my boobs were large…(according to them?? Since when is a 12B or 14B large I say) Part of the conversation I did not actually get…It was the bit before i realized they were talking about my boobs cos of of them said what I thought was SEEMS SOFT but now realize was looks soft…I had thought it was a strange way to talk about food then realized…oh wait nope that wasn’t what they were talking about!! I guess it was kind of favourable…Inside the restaurant was hot…after hearing them spoke despite that I put my jacket back on.

Jen: Yeah I do not actually know much about Francis Whiting (A lot of people say it seems I live under a rock) but I read her book compiled of some of her columns from the last couple of years yesterday and it was so funny and I was more thinking I wanted to become a writer liker her and get paid to sit and write stuff. But I am pretty sure for that I would need to have a better sence of humour, better grammar and spelling and well…Interesting stuff to write about. Have you read her columns before?? They really are funny…I do not know if she still writes them or not? But when I said I wanted to be her…I meant I still wanted to be Lulu BUT like her perhaps…

Dalmations…they kind of look diseased…I know that sounds horrible but I can not help but look at them strangely…

Katie: I went to Griffith universiy…for two years and the other year of my degree was spent here. Is UQ good for Japanese? I know the gold coast campus of Griffith is really good and has a really good reputation but I was at Nathan and Mt Gravatt campus’… 2Kyuu…I think I will pass, but if you had asked me even three weeks ago I would have said no way. I am the same my Kanji (and goi) are sketchy…but in the last 3 weeks I would say my reading and kanji has probably doubled almost so can’t beat that. When will you come back to Japan do you think? I have to admit I did not know who Francis Whiting really was until yesterday…My friend gave me a book with her columns and it was hilarious! Best of luck with the study…Is it your last exam for the year??

Sar: Am always very wary that people might speak or understand English so am fairly careful but if I speak fast, especially with aussie friends I doubt anybody would understand me anyway (My best friend is scottish and she sometimes has problems…then again I have the same problem when I visited scotland and did not understand her friends) (although that story was funny…maybe he was half Japanese…hehe…I love this story!

  6. Just a tad rude, but I’ve known Aussies that have done similar thinking the person near them didn’t understand English. lol, at least they were positive comments.

What on earth were they saying about your breasts?!
