Today an iron fell on my head. Yep, and iron. I was at school and it was on top of the craft supply closet and it fell on my head. I am really glad it was me and not one of the kiddies (cos it would of squashed them) but ouch it hurt. Now I have a big bump on the back of my head.
It reminded me of the road runner cartoon that I loved as a child. I wish I was as fast as the road runner today.
Shumpei and I were talking about cartoons we watched as kids. I was trying to see what they used to get here in the way of imported cartoons. We both agreed that road runner along with teenage mutant ninja turtles and batman were some of our favourites. I also reminisced about such cartoons as The smurfs, X-men, rugrats, Care Bears, Madeline, Winne the Pooh, The adventures of TinTin, The Flintstones, Mr Gadget , Gummi Bears, Scooby Doo Show, Tom and Jerry and Where`s Wally.

Shumpei thinks that the smurfs are really strange looking. Can anyone tell me what the Smurfs actually were? And were they on drugs?
So what were everybody else`s favourite cartoons as kids, or even the cartoons you watch now. I now watch Dora the Explorer and Sponge Bob with the kids at school on rainy days when we can`t go outside and I am converted. I don`t like Blues Clues though…
Also what cartoons can you still watch now if they come on TV?
Ps: I have already finished two books on the my list for the Spring Reading Thing…I am a nerd.

I have got one word for you re smurf drug query > MUSHROOMS!
Scooby Doo, Speed Racer and Gigantor were my favourites. One episode of SD had an appearance of Batman and Robin and I almost wet myself in excitment.
I think smurfs were just smurfs werent they?
I always watched the sci-fiy shows when i was a kidlet- like voltron (the one with the cats), G-force, but I also TOTALLY loved ‘the mysterious cities of gold’. Man, I wish i could watch that show again, but i cant find it anywhere and the one time I DID find it, it was at the paris airport, cost a fortune and had no english subtitles anyway. Am I a nerd because I really liked captain planet too? haha, sad but i got a kick out of that show too.
Ohhh! Love this post!
Ducktails was my favourite cartoon as a kid.
I also liked TMNT, Smurfs, Snorks (that noone remembers) Tailspin (i now have the theme in my mind), Scooby Doo – awesome. I’d watch one now if by chance it came on but i wouldnt go out of my way. I dont like todays cartoons that Tamaguci thing and I unfortunately saw Sponge Bob with my nephew.

I liked the Snorks and Samurai Pizza Cats!
I really disliked most Looney Toons, I was more of a Disney girl myself. Like Duck Tails, Goofy and Pluto, and the Disney movies, that sort of stuff

Your head has copped a battering this year. Literally!!
I just read your garbage post (finally) and my God how complicated! i would never cope. I’d have to move to another country just because of the garbage rules.
Sushi- mmm…mushrooms. I will pass that on to Shun. Are magic mushroom still legal in Japan? They used to be…I read it in a guide book several years ago…Why would they put that in a guidebook?
Phil- I have never heard of some of those cartoons. Will have to google them to see if I recognise any of the characters…
Deb- I forgot about captain planet. I loved that too!!!!! I used to watch it after school all the time! You should take sushi`s advice and look on you tube…They have everything on you tube.
Miss Natalie- I don`t remember ducktails either? mmm…I guess I missed a lot of cartoons as a kid. I don`t remember snorks either…But if you read the comments other people seem to! Maybe they were a bit before my time?
Sushi- I LOVED spirited away…and the one with kiki and the cat. I forget the name. I loved mighty mouse too…we used to have videos as kids. Oh how I miss cartoons.
You don`t watch TV? Do you mean nothing? I will have to discuss this with you tomorrow!!!
Ps: You can tell your on holidays now. Blogging and commenting away!
Jen: I don`t know the samurai pizza cats either…Where was I when I was growing up? I thought it might be an age thing but you and I are about the same age. Crazy!
The girls at work say the same thing about my head. They were both there when the guy bashed me with the beer glass too!!
Enny- I used to love searching for wally in the books too. I loved it so much I bought them and gave them to shumpei as a present…secretly because I wanted it myself! hehe.
Steph: I used to think that too. But I am actually used to it more now I guess. It is riddiculous though…especially cos it`s not even a state or nataional thing.
