milk comes from…
The last couple of weeks we have being teaching our preschool class about animals, this week it was farm animals. Today, we were talking about where food comes from, what food comes from farm animals and other types of farms….
I asked `Where does milk come from`
Little girl aged 3 replied `冷蔵庫 （れいぞうこ）‘ It means fridge in English….
（Today was also the day that some of the children realized meat came from farm animals…It was a bit of an eye awakening experience for some)

Kids are so cute! If you asked my 2 and a half year old niece what comes from cows she’d tell you “Milk, yogurt, cheese and meat” ..Ha ha! Only coz her Dad has been quizzing her! It’s cute though!

Katie- It is amazing what some kids say!!! There is at least one funny story everyday! After realizing that milk came from cows the kids did pick up on cheese and icecream…. Your neice sounds really smart! I don`t think I knew where milk came from when I was that age.
Enny- One boy was a bit shocked and kept double checking with us that we weren`t lying! Plus we have an indian girl in our class so we mentioned that beef came from cows but didn`t go into it very much to respect her beleifs. But we might have made a couple of veggie kids, will ask the parents next week!
Some of my Japanese friends were shocked to discover AT THE AGE OF 25 that wool comes from sheep. Seriously, what do they teach kids in schools here??
