Randomness…

  • Did not believe it was possible to spend as much time on the Internet as I seem to be doing lately. Between blogging, reading other blogs, keeping up to date with aussiebloggers forum, facebook, email and trying to choose a theme from wordpress because I am planning on moving my blog over to there next month I seem to be spending my whole time on the Internet. Do you have any ideas for a good WP theme? If you haven`t already checked out the Aussie bloggers forum too…you should…now.
  • I survived my first week back at work last week. Now onto the second week!
  • Going snowboarding/skiing in a couple of weeks….I am actually just going for the snow….Shumpei assures me that I will like skiing more if I try with him but I think it is a lost cause!
  • Have had a lot of bad news coming from home lately….I am sick of bad news. Give me good news. I might be going back to Australia earlier than July now…not sure….Will know in the next couple of months or so though. Even if I return earlier, Shumpei will still follow me over in July as planned

  • 25 Days to Make a Difference - Click here for details

Discovered a new blog yesterday by a young girl named Laura called twenty five days to make a difference…..if you have not heard of this blog then you need to go check it out now. Put her banner up on your blog also to help her reach her goals…..It is always inspiring to see somebody trying to make a difference as Laura is, but even more so to see it in somebody so young. Basically each month she chooses a different organization to help and tries to raise money to donate to them.

  • I swear I had more to write about but I have now forgotten…I guess I need more sleep…and to spend less time on the Internet!

    Hey!
Ahh.. kind of makes me sad to think that you’ll be going back home for a year! Not that we’ve really ever met or anything :( But you will be coming back again eventually right??

Skiing/snowboard sounds fun!! When I eventually move up to Niigata, Ryoheis family lives right near a famous ski place, it would be fun to do a ski trip sometime!

Hey Laura, Sorry to hear things arn’t going so well back home…I know it must be so hard for you. Hang in there and really concentrate on looking after yourself, thinking positive and staying strong. Sometimes things happen that we can’t control, but what you can do is look for the things you can control/change and do the best that you can to make yourself happy :) Ha ha! I hope I don’t sound too much like a therapist!

    Hey Laura,

I think what Katie said is very very good advice, I wouldn’t be able to say anything better, so I won’t bother!!

Btw, I really need some advice… You know how I’m working at a day care centre, right? Well the boss keeps asking me to do some english with the kids, but I have no idea what I should do. They are between the ages of 2.5 and 4, and have no english skills what so ever. Also, I have never taught english before (yet!!), so I don’t have any idea how to teach them. Any advice would be great!!

Sara- I have a question…do you spell your name sara or sarah…I think I have seen it both ways from you so am confused! I know your internet name is sara but how is the real spelling done??!

It is good and bad for me to be going back to Australia. I wanted to go just six months but Shun suggested a year….I need to spend some time with my family and do something other than teaching for awhile as well. Plus I can show Shumpei more of my home!!!

Definitely would be up for a ski/snow trip once I am back in Japan (and you are married!!!) up in Niigata! Next winter we won`t be here though and the year late you might be pregnant?!?! But we could go look at the snow still!! Do you ski or board? I don`t really do either!

We will definitely be coming back. I want to move back to Japan.

Katie- Thanks Katie…you know a lot of what is going on with stuff back home and I appreciate your support and nice words. Some other stuff has changed since I spoke to you last but will update you by mail later….We will have to meet up again once I am back In australia. Am looking forward to it!!!

Nay- Thanks. In regards to the English stuff I am going to facebook you. There is heaps you could do with them if they have no english…you might need a couple of props though!
