D`jen- I do hope that one day snow sports will be for me but I have tried both skiing and snowboarding and I get so frustrated....
I do like the snow though!!! And ski trips, even if you aren`t skiing, are always fun. Especially if it is only for a couple of days! I won`t be going next year because more than likely Shun and I will still be in Australia....

Stella: Hi! thanks for commenting!!!! For an expat living here it is fine, I am guessing if you will be in Tokyo then you will be based in Minato-ku or around that area.....Expat packages! Nice! I am definitely NOT on an expat package!!! Your bf, if he is a native speaker, shouldn`t have too much trouble finding work....I am guessing that he could do some part-time work on a spouse visa...I think it up to 20 hours a week, might even be more! Does he have a degree? Sometimes that is a requirement! He probably won`t need any Japanese to get a job! Tell him to check out the job sites on gaijinpot.com, jobsinjapan.com and ohayosensei.com!

Let me know if you start a blog! Would love to read it. What sort of work are you coming here for?

Sara: I have no idea what part of Niigata it was, but it was very close to Nagano border....literally drive half an hour and we were in Nagano...I can ask Shun if he knows and let you know!

I thought of you when we were coming back....thinking that you will have the crazy weather to deal with in about a year!!! Can`t wait to go again and visit you and ryohei once you have settled there. The boys can teach the kids to ski!

You must be looking forward to going to America next month....does your family know you are filing for your marriage license this month or is it a surprise?

Nay- I just get so scared when I try to ski, that feeling of not having any control drives me insane...

I hope you have fun skiing this weekend though!!! Take care.....Where are you ging to?

Funnily enough, we are going skiing this Saturday - although I don't know how successful I will be. I have only been once before, and I think that time, I spent more time on my bottom, than I did standing up... and is it really possible to stop?? I haven't managed that important skill as yet!!!

Can't wait to hear what you write about next in your encyclopedia!!!

Glad you got back safely!! What part of Niigata did you go to!
I'll have to show R your pics, he'll be so excited. He has so much Niigata pride!

To be honest I'm not really great at snow sports but I love walking around in the snow fall, provided that I have warm clothes! That must have been so scary coming back! Thankfully you were ok!

I want to take a vacation so badly! (Going to America next month so I guess I should just suck it up til then)

Looking forward to your B entry!

I think i'm going to start my own now! =D was it hard finding a teaching job there? i'm going there for work, but my bf is a trailing spouse (haha) and needs to find a job. money is no issue, but he doesn't know any japanese!
