I hope I'm like one of your commenters who said they lost weight through breastfeeding after pregnancy! My husband lovingly says "muchi muchi" when holding me and my extra pounds. Oh well! There is a saying in Japan "shiawase buttori" or "happy fat". (For the longest time I thought they were saying "shiawase butta" or "happy pig" which I though was kind of cute and funny.) Only 2 weeks to go!!! I get reverse culture shock as well - everyone's accents sound so broad and it takes a while to adjust to "normal" life. Plus I have to get used to driving on the other side of the road again. It's hard not to compare the two places, but that gets boring for other people I think! You must be getting excited! I usually get reverse culture shock too, I think it's because I'm going back home to my family but no one understands what I've been doing, seen or accomplished over the last few months and it can be really frustrating. I'm totally up for hooping even though I'm crap at it - I was thinking New Farm Park would be a good place to go! Yay for finishing packing!
