OMG, Aveda products are just GORGEOUS! Super expensive, but I just love it!! Pantene is meant to be shitty, I've heard it from too many people to believe it's just a rumor.

At the moment I'm using a Jon Freida shampoo/conditioner from blonde hair because I'm paranoid about getting too brassy, it's nice because it really brightens up my hair...or so I reckon :P

It's good for your hair to constantly change your shampoo, apparently. I use a rather expensive one, but over the years I've used a range, from $2 bottles to (gasp) $20 bottles. The one I am using now is a Blonde Brilliance one or something, and from the first time I used it, I noticed a difference. I think you can get them for all different hair colours.

Have a shop around and see which one you like the best! :)

Hey Lulu,

Abbey is gorgeous! And chuckled a bit hearing about your Dad with the shampoo! I am in LOVE with Aveda shampoo and products but it is quite exxy. They all smell really lovely and are made out of organic plant essences (blah, blah, marketing crap). But I find they do help my hair condition SO MUCH.

Shop stuff - do you remember Flex shampoo? I think it was SO big back in Year 7. And I remember Pear's and thinking how nice it smelt. Pantene is always good, but hairdresser's blah on about how it can coat your hair with silicone (I think it's just a lie so you buy their expensive salon products!).

Maybe you could review the shampoo you do end up choosing??? xxxx

There's one you can get from chemists called Tea Tree Shampoo and Tea Tree Conditioner by Thursday Plantation. It is a little rare to find it but I usually get it for $6.50 each bottle. I love the Tea Tree smell. :)

Garnier Fructis, Oily Roots, Dry Ends. It works, and the smell is fresh and not too overpowering.

I use Garnier Fructis where ever possible- still easy to find, and reasonably priced, but I feel like some of the cheaper brands dry my hair out a little (or goes the other way and makes it oily). But most of the Palmolive stuff is pretty good too, and I've used Wella Balsalm for extended periods with no problems, since Mum buys it... but I like the Garnier Fructis stuff the best :)

I don't really have any suggestions, because unfortunately I have to buy my shampoo from the hairdresser - yep, that's right, the expensive ones. I pay about $18 or so per bottle... My hair is really strange, for some reason it gets used to a shampoo really quickly (I mean, like after 2 days) and then it just makes my hair oily. The only shampoos that don't make my hair oily are the expensive ones - it sucks! Good luck with finding 'your' shampoo!!

When I got back from Japan, moving in with mum was a little bit of a challenge! But it's not too bad, but I can't wait for it to be just me and Naoki again!! If the Sunday after Shun comes is still ok with the both of you, I would love to come up your way! Little nervous about meeting Shun - I don't think my Japanese is good enough!!! lol! Thanks for yesterday by the way, it was great fun!

Enny: I didn`t realize that some shampoo wasn`t vegan? Although I understand that you would be looking for stuff that isn`t tested on animals. Something I am also looking for. I will check out Nature`s Organics!

Katie: Thanks for the suggestion! It is weird living with Dad but things are going ok and it will also be good when Shun gets here because I think not only I am looking forward to it but Dad is too!!! I have used palmolive before I think...will have to have another look. Last time I was in Australia I used fruitrience which was also nice and lovely smelling!

Keep up the suggestions everyone!

I swear by any of the stuff in the Palmolive range, because it's reasonably priced and it works perfectly fine. It must be weird living with your Dad again after being independent. I guess it will be different again when Shun arrives?
