The kids, well actually the hub more these days, drive me to that really wanting a cold beer at the end of the day to unwind - and stop from maxing out. Maybe tomorrow I will turn over a new leaf. A month you did it aye. Ganbarimasu!! in exactly a month today it will be Marina's first birthday - so could celebrate with champers. Also is day before go into hospital for two weeks and that means definately no chuhais. Must be something in the water over here that drives us to the bottle or can :(

And I must be the exception that proves the rule. I drink way more in Australia because we have a drink with our meal and then a few more after and then... Here we live so far away from anywhere to go out and drink that it costs 5000yen+ in taxi fare to get home which eats into the drinking budget and I don't like drinking alone (too depressing) so I'm sadly sober a lot. :( They have vitamin water in Australia now?

I too am astounded at how much I drink in Japan in comparision to Aus. I will have a big night every weekend if not both Friday and Saturday nights. It's also so much easier to pick up a couple of beers at the combini on the way home from wherever. Back home I would always be driving and very rarely drink. I blame karaoke and nomihoudai.
