Hamilton Island Honeymoon…
We booked our honeymoon! SQUEEL!!! So excited.
We tossed up whether we would have one or not as we were a bit worried about it cutting into our savings but in the end we thought, what the hell, it will be the last trip we will take for awhile.
So five days after the wedding we are heading to hamilton island and staying here
And we will visit here (White Haven Beach)
And go snorkelling (and Shun will dive) here
I have never been this far north before- The furtherest I have gone in my own state (of Queensland) is Hervey Bay. Seeing the Great Barrier Reef & enjoying 5 days relaxing on beaches as gorgeous as those you see above is going to be bliss. We are both so excited.

So jealous! It looks fabulous- I really want to go to Queensland, particularly that far north… it’s one of the few states I haven’t even stepped foot in! I think choosing to take a honeymoon will work out well for you- as you say, it’s the last trip you’ll take for awhile, and how could you fail to have a good time there!

Yay yay yay!! What I would do for some sun, surf and sand - minus kids - actually if was allowed copious pina coladas the kids could stay.
You will have a great time and in the long run - you can get your savings back up but you can only take a proper honeymoon once - as in right after you get married.

Our plan is to do the GBR after the wedding, and save enough to hopefully go to Europe in like ‘10 :o)

Hi! I can’t help myself but to comment. I feel your excitement! The Hamilton Island is really beautiful. I hope you could post more photos of the island when you come back after your honeymoon, I will surely check your site regularly for more honeymoon updates.
