Engagement Ring

January 12 2009, at home, Olympus E-520

This is for Enny who requested an engagement ring shot ages ago after a Wedding Bee (A wedding blog!) e-ring photo extravaganza…

I felt a little bit silly taking a photo of my engagement ring. I took a couple but I liked this one, on top of the puzzle pieces the best!!! We still haven`t finished the puzzle which my Dad brought home several weeks back of the Sydney Harbor Bridge & Opera House…all that is left though is the blue water to do (we completed the blue sky!)

  1. Love the focus! And it’s a beautiful ring. :)

  2. Very pretty ring ^^ I like your photography…all very nice angles (Don’t know the term…but the WAY you take the pictures)

  3. Your photography is stunning. Keep up the fabulous work!!!

  4. Guera- Thanks! Coming from you that is a huge compliment considering what a wonderful photographer you are.

Khea- Thanks! Shun & I get engaged a little unexpectedly so there was no ring- we choose this one together. I like it so much because of the little blue diamon in it- my wedding ring has a couple of blue diamonds also!!! You can`t really see it in this photo!!!

Girl Japan- Thanks!!! I enjoy taking photos but wish I had more time to get my camera out and play!

  5. I like it! I had to look again to see the blue diamond but I think that was because I was distracted by the dazzle in the middle. :) I have the same setting (forget the name) and I love it. I always think of it as the diamond (mois of course!) being supported, protected, caressed, but *not enclosed or encaged* by the platinum (DH) a little over thinking it all perhaps but I like it. :)

Oh and I think the piece on the left goes with the one on the far right… ;P

Hi! You are always so fast to comment on my blog! Sorry I don’t comment more on yours. I love the ring photo too, very interesting to have it on top of the puzzle, and beautiful colours, nice ring. I also loved the 80s party photos- looked like a lot of fun and nice to see people go all out. It was a great decade (I was in high school then when some of those fashions were cool :)

  7. I love that shot! I love the focus and the lighting. Gorgeous ring too!

  8. Heather- You are probably right that those pics go together- thanks for the hint! hehe

You analogy is cute! I like that us girls are the diamonds!

Christelle- I read all the blogs through a reader and it is usually open at night when I am surfing the net, watching something, or writing emails so I see when you update fairly quickly if it is during the week at night! Plus, I love to hop on over to see what Jonah has been up to!!!

    Biz319- Thank you!

Melanie- Thanks! I love it too!

  9. Wow!
    Lulu!!!
    Awseome!!!
    We’ll make you a bee yet :o )

  10. Great ring and great photo too. I would like to take better pictures and I am wondering if a better camera might be the answer. What kind of camera do yo use?

Lulu, you are ludicrously talented. This is such an amazing shot, I want to eat your brains and gain your knowledge

    (that’s meant as a compliment)

  12. You have a really good eye with taking pictures! I loved this shot! And what a lovely ring!
