Today is Shun & my 5th Valentines Day. When I say that it makes me think “woah”…
I hope everyone out there is having a lovely Valentines Day. We decided to stick to our normal routine of celebrating Valentines Day & White Day a month later. So I gave Shun a little present today and we went out for fish & chips for lunch down by the water. The weather is pretty wet today but luckily we found an undercover spot. It cleared up a bit and we managed to have a nice little walk out to the the point. Did anyone else do anything exciting for valentines day?
I am feeling much better today. Actually today is the first time in four days that I have felt human and well enough to venture out of the house for more than 15 minutes. I do have a bit of lingering asthma and a runny nose but the dizziness, sore throat and earache are almost all gone!!!
I have had this urge to write recently- I mean I often get urges to write but I keep telling myself to sit down and actually write but I haven`t. Since I haven`t gone to work since Tuesday as well my journal has suffered because I usually write in it on the train on the way to work in the morning. I am not even sure what I want to write about but I just have an urge. Fiction or non-fiction, long, or short…I really have no idea.
Tomorrow we are picking up our engagement photos and I can not wait. Even though I have seen them already I am still really excited to see them all blown up and printed out. She did such a fantastic job and it makes me so excited for the wedding.
I have decided I might password protect some of the posts on my blog. I will figure out how to do it all and then let those who read it fairly often know what the password is. I am just a twenty something Aussie girl living in Chiba, Japan with my Japanese husband trying to make sense of the crazy Japanese world we live in! Fish and Chips sound good to me!!!! I think I am excited too, excited for you! I bet they look dashing and fabulous. (the engagement photos), those are always so fun to do. A friend of mine had one made into an oil painting.

Happy Valentines day! We went out for dinner tonight, not quite as romantic as it was before we had our son (or back when he’d sit still for more than 10 minutes at a time for that matter), but nice just the same.
What’s White Day? I don’t think we have that in the States.
