This was taken earlier today. Abbey has grown up a lot but she still acts like a giant puppy!! She is smaller than the average blue heeler but she makes up for that in enthusiasm.
I need to get back into taking Abbey for longer walks again. We went for about 3km today and will go again tomorrow- maybe a bit further!!
We will miss her a lot when we go back to Japan.

I am just a twenty something Aussie girl living in Chiba, Japan with my Japanese husband trying to make sense of the crazy Japanese world we live in! We welcomed our first son in December 2009 (Noah) and a second son in January 2011, 2 months premature (Shion). I am working hard at raising them to be confident, bilingual, happy kids!
Cattle Dogs have big personalities with lots of enthusiasm! You watch! She’ll still be acting like a crazy puppy in 5 years time!
Abbey is still as gorgeous as she was when I met her last!! I can’t wait to see her in RL in May! And of course I can’t wait to see you either
I miss having a dog around so much. When we’re able to finally buy a dog of our own, that dog will be the most spoiled pet on the planet.
I hope you are feeling a little better and taking care of yourself, since I saw the last few blogs about your dad and such.
Katie- Oh I hope she calms down a little! She has people that visit her everyday especially and she runs up to them at the fence to say hello- I do wonder if the people visiting her realize she is like that with EVERYONE. hehe! Her enthusiasm is catching most of the time (except when chasing her around the yard because she grabbed your fav bra out of the clothes you have just taken off the line19
Nay- She missed you and can not wait to meet Naoki! She has grown a little since you last saw her but she is still as cheeky as ever.
Laura- I will miss Abbey and having a pet so much when I return to Japan. We hope to get a puppy one day but will really depend on if we live in a house or an apartment and an apartment is more likely so a dog might be a couple years off yet. Shun`s parents have a dog but it hates me and people in general- not like Abbey at all.
I am feeling much better now- still exhausted but things have calmed down a bit. Thanks for your comments.

It’s good that she likes people! Sometimes Cattle dogs can be a bit snarky! Mine used to nip certain people and she could differentiate between males and females. For some reason she didn’t like men much. That’s funny that she likes your bra! She’s got good taste!
I know you’ll miss her, I can not even sleep without my baby..lol
