The last Aussie post…
Well this is the last post for awhile from Australian soil. Our flight leaves in 7 and a half hours and apart from our computers we are done with the packing. Both our suitcases are over the 20kg limit not to mention I have my suitcase, two hula hoops, and a bag filled with toiletries cos I just couldn`t fit it into the suitcase. My suitcase alone weight 28kg and I can just imagine us having to pay the excess at the airport which will suck. I am contemplating taking out about 4kg or 5kg and asking mum to send it via post? We already sent over 100kg to Japan last week via a shipping company…Can you tell we have too much stuff? (30% or so might be tupperware…. Another 30% is definitely books- LOL)
We have to fly to Sydney first from Brisbane and then change to a flight heading to Japan- it is going to be a long night. I can not sleep on airplanes- Shun can sleep anywhere and will probably be asleep before the plane from Sydney even takes off- unless there is one of those tv`s where you can watch unlimted movies and play games because then he won`t sleep at all as that will keep him busy the whole time.
I have to remember to request aisle seats when we get to Brisbane airport- all of our tickets and transfers will be issues then. I bet I will forget. (Just told Shun to remind me, chances are he will forget too)
I got the professional wedding photos on CD yesterday- I promise to go through them and upload some to flickr (and facebook) sometime in the next week…They turned out awesome- We were really happy. We have not seen them all yet but she did show us a mock-up of the album also and it looked great. I am so excited to sit down and look at them all properly. The album won`t be done for a couple of weeks so mum will need to send it to us.
I shoudln`t be offline for more than 48 hours or so since we will be staying at Shun`s parents place and my wireless works there if I plug in the router….so hopefully I will be updating sooner rather than later. We have a bit of a crowd coming out the airport this afternoon (not really!)- Mum, Dad, my brother Paul and his gf Gemma are all seeing us off from the domestic airport. Because we have to go to Sydney they can come all the way to the gate with us- I think there will be tears (maybe me, definitely mum and Gemma)
Well so long Australia, I am sure I will be back some time soon!
ps: Will try to get back into Macro Monday once I get back to Japan

Have a safe flight!!!!!
I have the HARDEST time sleeping on any form of public transportation: planes, buses, trains, etc. and Takeshi is EXACTLY the same as Shun! He is able to fall asleep within seconds, and I’m sitting next to him wide awake the whole time.
I hope you have safe plane rides back over here! Fingers crossed for no delays, cancellations, or any other problems.
Have a good trip, hope you can sleep a little bit!
Ohhhh have a great trip and fingers crossed for you at baggage. K is another Shun while I am the one watching all the movies.
Let me know your address when you get here. I need to get my PayItForward stuff off to you. Hmm is it Itterashai or Kitterashai? ;P
Have a great trip! I never sleep either… but coffee with bailey’s liquere usually makes it somewhat bearable
Must be a man thing.. Tetsu AND my dad both can fall asleep at the drop of a hat ANYWHERE. I’m jealous haha
How long is the flight from Sydney to Japan? About the same, I wonder. It’s about 9 hours to/from Vancouver =)
Oh! And so glad you’re happy with the wedding pictures! Can’t wait to see them all.
Can’t believe you will be back so soon!!!! I am so excited and hope you have a safe and uneventful flight. I hear you on the man sleeping on the plane… Ryohei slept most of the way to and from America. Me – not so much :/

Have a safe trip and hopefully you can get some sleep!
Have a fun and safe trip! Remind me to post you my new addy!
Have a great trip Lulu. I find on flights TO Japan, airlines tend to be more forgiving about overweight baggage….hopefully that will happen for you too!
Safe travels
Happy unpacking at the other end.
I hope you have a wonderful flight back to Japan!! I can’t wait to see you on Sunday! I am counting down the days
I’m very excited to see your professional wedding photos also!! I bet they are stunning
I hope the airline was nice and ignored some of your excess baggage!! I always tend to bring too much back with me and end up having to pay excess… you would think I would learn, hey!
Can’t wait to read your next post – when you back on Japanese soil!
Have a great trip! PS I’ve seen the kanji for your name now – kirei desu!
Good luck for the trip! I certainly don’t envy you all that packing and travelling, but it will be great once you get there and get settled. Looking forward to your first Japanese installment in a while. (And at least the Tupperware isn’t heavy
)
Congratulations on your wedding. You looked beautiful! I’m glad it was a happy day for you. I really like the natural setting…such a nice time of year. So, you might be back in Japan by now. I would love to meet you since you’ll be living so close. I am sure that the chapter leader for AFWJ will try to plan some kind of lunch or coffee for new (recently joined) members, so that we can meet you. Otherwise, we should try and get together. My friend, Chris, also from Australia, does the Craft n Chat events with me once a month in Makuhari, and you should definitely try to come. Several people go each time, so it is a great chance to meet others, and Chris is so funny! Anyway, can’t wait to meet you and good luck with the transition back to Japan!
I hope you have (had?) a safe and uneventful flight back over to Japan! I bet you are excited, although maybe a bit bittersweet saying goodbye to Australia. It sounds like you have enough to keep you busy in your first few days back in Japan, but update us when you get the chance!
Have safe travels! Can’t wait to hear how things are in Japan!
