Whoo hoo! Real cheese! If you want an easy recipe for bread baking (assuming you could get access to an oven) I recommend 5 minute artisan bread. You can find the recipe at: http://splendidtable.publicradio.org/recipes/accompaniments_fiveminute.shtml
It's wordy but super easy (no kneading dough!) and you can keep the unused dough in the fridge for 2 weeks!

OK Lulu, I have taken your challenge and I get you back with this six things challenge! Go and have a look at my blog!

I remember morning sickness. With Harry it was 11:30pm like clockwork sickness. I thought I could beat it by going to sleep early but it would wake me up. Blergh. So, my sympathies!

Nay- I have heard about these Aomori apples! I might need to check them out :) Cute name for your mum when Lachlan was little. Haha, granny smith. I have a "kiwi nana" so I am going to tell my kids to call my mum "Granny Oz" and my dad "Poppy Oz"

I loved reading your list! We have a few things in common. I did my list today, you should check it out if you are bored!

I have to agree with you on the apples debate! I really like green apples, especially granny smith's (btw, do you know that was mum's nickname for ages after Lachlan was born, lol!) but not overly fond of red apples. Although Japanese apples, the ones from Aomori anyway, are very delicious too!

Heather, sorry your comment got stuck in the spam folder (it happens with smily faces for some reason? lol)

I do like apples. Green apples, like granny smiths but I am not a huge fan of red ones. However, feel free to send me a box during the season and maybe I will change my mind :P

haha, i have access to cheese, I just have to go a bit far I guess. The vietnamese was James`s idea- they had a lunch set for 1200yen! Bargain! I am not sure I could find Vietnamese in Moto-Yawata but if you go into Tokyo you can find a few. My waiter was actually Vietnamese too! So it was kind of authentic!

Melanie- That chicken and havarti cheese dinner sounds nice- you will have to share the recipe. I am always looking for new ones. And hey, chicken and cheese together is always a goer! Most of the cheese here is very processed and I miss being able to buy decent cheese in the supermarket. The good thing is, while i have to go a bit further, I can get good cheese at SOME supermarkets and of course international food stores. It is a bit expensive though. Oh how I heart cheese!!!!

Girl Japan- Ginger Ale is very good- And I do drink that (I dont drink coke though, never really have) I also have these herbal tablets that are good for helping morning sickness and they are ginger based also. I am hoping it will just dissapear soon. So far today, no vomiting so YAY it has been a good day!

The Mentalist is excellent! I definitely recommend it. Even just for Simon Baker (I think thats his name) cos he is a bit of a dish! I am not sure about buying the dvd`s- maybe download it or watch it online first to see if you like it? How I met your Mother is also a great comedy sitcom. I totally recommend it also! It is up to the 5th season now I think? It is the kind of thing you could watch over and over again (a bit like Friends!) so if you watch a couple eps and like it then I would get the DVDs! Shun is a huge fan of My Name is Earl and hey, i like to encourage any kind of English tv watching for him, so we have all the dvds of that!

Lulu have you tried to drink some Ginger Ale or Cola over ice to abate the nausea? Tell me more about "The Mentalist" and "How I met your mother", do you think I should buy the DVD's?
