500…

This is my 500th post on Cherry Blossom Adventures. When I started this blog I was 21, living in Kichijoji and Shun hadn`t even officially moved in with me yet but we had been dating for over a year most of which was long distance. We were un-married and I was working for a crazy company that shall not be named as well as part-time at a International School in Azabu Juban. My things have changed!!!

In this year alone (2009) I have gotten married, lived in both Australia and Japan, gotten pregnant and we have found a flat to move into. I also went from working full-time as a government worker in Brisbane to being unemployed and a bit of a lady of leisure although I wish I could find some part-time work (Oh actually I did, I have 9 hours contract work in August which will pay me 30,000yen plus transport- I am doing so relief teaching for a company that does private lessons with kids). It has been 3+ years since I started blogging and I have made SOOOOOOO many online and RL friends from the experience that I would not have swapped it for anything.

Oh and I am 17 weeks pregnant today and during the week my belly sort of “popped”- so I leave you with a picture of my baby belly which to tell you the truth kind of just looks like fat although in real life it looks more like a baby belly, I promise! I also can not believe I am showing off my belly on my blog but I guess pregnancy brain leads you to do strange things huh!!! Shun took this 10 minutes ago so I put on my exercise clothes for the shot!

Goma-chan bump at 17 weeks

Goma-chan is moving around (and growing a lot if the muscle pain in my belly is anything to go by) a little but still no real kicks and more just like bubbles in my tummy. I am still thinking boy but most people seem to think girl, including my family and Shun`s family and Shun himself. We will just have to wait and see I think…

It’s amazing how much life changes even just over the course of the year eh? Blogs are fantastic… I can’t imagine my life without the internet =P It really does bring like minds together so much faster than IRL! (And even better if it translates into RL eventually =) )

You’re bump is cute!! Getting to feel Goma-chan and random pains and all.. you’re just getting to the fun part hehe So excited to find out if it’s a girl (like everyone else) or a boy! Give him/her a pat hello from me anyways~~

(Oh, and glad you picked up a bit of work! But being a lady of leisure isn’t so bad either ;) )
    Enjoy your ever changing life!

Wow, you are right – you have done so much with your life since you first started blogging!! I would have to say that you are in a perfect place right now. Everything in your life is going the way you want it to. I am so happy for you.

I am so excited that you have officially popped – I can definitely see it! I can’t wait to see your baby bump in August. Imagine how much bigger you will have gotten by then. Very excited!! I too still think Goma chan is a boy but it looks like I am in the minority, lol!

I’ve said it before, I know, but congratulations on getting those 9 hours of work!!

Beautiful belly:).And what a great way to celebrate your 500th post.Sounds like(apart from the remains of the morning sickness) that you are having a great pregnacy.Enjoy every minute,as I know you will. And good luck with those names;)Cant wait to hear which you are having(either goes for me!) and ,of course,to hear the name.

    Great picture!

I don`t think T actually felt the baby until 20 or 21 weeks (I think it was the end of 20 weeks that I felt the baby on the outside, wasn`t until 18 weeks or so that I knew what I was feeling was the baby) so not too much longer until you`ll be feeling goma-chan on the outside.

No clue on boy or girl, just like I have no feelings really one way or another with my own. Would be nice to know though

Here’s to 500 more. And ooohhhh I predict about 480 of them will be baby/toddler/ kid related… ;P

Your tummy is really cute! I didn’t take any belly shots and wish I had. Not quite have another kid just for the photo opportunity wish though…

That’s a gorgeous little bump you’ve got there! I was never brave enough to take photos of my belly, kinda wish I had now though!

    Congratulations on 500!
It’s amazing how much can change in such little time, but that’s the beauty of life i guess. You are lucky to have such a cute bump! I wish i had photos of mine, but like I told you, I didn’t really pop… but looked like a fatty! hehe. Well, I can’t wait to see you again sometime soon!
Would also like to mention I have those same tights :P nice choice!

Your bump will turn into a watermelon — and then it will all be worth it when see his/her face for the very first time.

It’s funny — we now live very close to Azabu Jyuban. I just got back from the supermarket there, in fact. (But we live in an ordinary Japanese apartment — not expat digs.)
