101 things in 1001 days for September…

Yay, I managed to cross a few things off my list for the month of September. Also working towards a couple of other of my goals.

4. See Sumo

Done- Read about it here. Definitely glad to have this one crossed off since I had been looking forward to seeing sumo live for a long time.

34. Learn how to do self breast exams

Done- since the midwives at the hospital want me to do breast massage anyway I thought it was about time.

100. Make a budget and stick to it for six months (1/6)

We have done this and stuck to it for the month of September and are now into our second month. Last months and this months budget do not allow for much saving but from November the credit card debt will be gone and we will be able to put a little bit away each month. We are monitoring our money a lot better and for this pay period (25th Sep-Oct 24th) we are both writing down all that we spend as well to make sure our budget reflects our needs and hopefully this will also show us where we can afford to save a little bit more.

I am also currently working towards the following tasks-

92. Watch the rest of Heroes with Shun (up until end of season 3)
72. Get paid to write something
50. Learn how to use Photoshop
52. Sell something I have made (well I hope to work on this one before baby comes- anyone want to buy something I can make)
8. Complete all of the exercises in `shiken ni deru kanji to goi`
9. Complete all the exercises in `kanzen master` grammar book for level 1 of the JLPT.

So 2 things fully crossed off this month and another couple underway including sticking to our budget.

Had lunch with Khea & Missha today and just had to show a couple of photos that we took of me & Missha, and Missha with her mummy! She has grown heaps since I last saw her (2 weeks ago) but she is still so tiny. In the first photo I love how Missha is looking at me- I bet she is thinking “Who is this person and why is her belly nudging me?” – for some reason whenever I hold other babies, especially anywhere near my bump, Goma-chan goes nuts kicking them. Feel a bit bad for Missha actually but hopefully Goma-chan will be better behaved in real life and realize he shouldn`t kick girls!

Yeah for getting some things crossed off your list. I`ve thought of making one but honestly don`t think I could come up with 101 things to try to do without getting silly. Maybe after the baby is born and life settles into some sort pattern.

Cute pictures of Missha. Maybe in the first picture she is thinking “Wow, I really wish I had her hair!”

Wow you are getting so much done on your list!!!
Hopefully your budget will work out well… we need to sit down and make one as well.

Love the pics with Missha and both you and Khea. It is AMAZING how much they change in just a couple weeks. She looks so different when I saw her about a month ago. Goma-chan is just making his presence known to the ladies (lol) Between me and Khea and Melanie he is going to have 3 close in age lady friends… let the manga style love triangles begin!!! (lol)

I just noticed you and Khea have the same color eyes? You could pass for sisters! Good going on knocking down the list a bit!

Wah, Missha is so damn cute, and you and Khea look fantastic. Good job on crossing some stuffs of your list. The budget thing is really a big one.

I had to learn how to use photoshop after I got my new camera. Do you shoot using RAW? I started while we were on our trip and it is amazing the difference in what you can do with adjusting the RAW file vs. a jpg in photoshop. Unfortunately I only have the Chinese version of Photoshop (it is CS4 though!) so learning how to use it took a LOT of trial and error and there is still a load of stuff I can’t figure out. If you have an English copy I envy you!

What kind of things do you make, Lulu? :)

I’m glad you were just watching the sumo, or goma-chan might have got *really* cross1 How strange that he kicks when another baby si close to him, maybe he can hear their heartbeat?

Yay for crossing of some things on your list and for having so many others in progress! You are looking fab, love the hair cut. Missha is ultra cute! And Khea looks great for a new mama!

Melanie- Some of the things on my list were a bit ridiculous- it is kind of like having a REALLY long to do list with some crazy stuff on it. It was good though that I was engaged when i wrote it so I could have lots of wedding related things to do. I definitely will do another list I think after this one is finished- maybe with a couple months break in between so that I can think of some good things.

Haha, I really think Missha is thinking in the picture “why is her belly kicking me” or “hang on a second, thats not my mum”

Sara- I have high hopes for the budget. Shun and I are both working towards it which is good- up until now whenever I have ha a budget it has just been for me so when I cheated I didn`t care so much- now I can`t cheat cos Shun will call me up on it. Same for him. HAHA.

I think Goma-chan is going to be a ladies man. Although if he is anything like his father maybe not…

April Marie Claire- Actually Khea`s are more greyish green- hers change colour I think? Mine are just blue- but I went back and looked at those photos and you are right, the flash in the camera made them look very similar.

I am not sure we could pass as sisters though- if you met us in real life you would understand. Khea is TINY. Where as I am MUCH bigger boned than her (and taller!) – even if I was as skinny as Khea (never going to happen unfortunately) I would still TOWER over her. hehehe. Funny though Khea`s natural hair colour is darker than mine but you couldn`t tell since we both have our hair coloured…LOL

Jessica- I have an English version but is CS3 (or maybe even CS2) I think. I really WANT to learn to use photoshop and have done some online lessons but the more I get into the more I realize I like been able to just take photos and upload them as is. hehe. I think I am just lazy…

I will try and start shooting some in RAW though since they pretty much are all JPEG at the moment. Any other hints?

Kelly- I can knit and make jewellery. I can also sew BUT my sewing is pretty bad hehe. I can make scarves and hats but have never really attempted anything bigger than that although if I had a pattern I could do anything since I know all the basic/intermediate stiches etc- I can not manage lace knitting though but hoping one day a friend will teach me.

As for jewellery- earrings are the best. Using beads. Can do bracelets and necklaces too but love earrings the most.

I used to make cards but I don`t have much supplies anymore except for stamps. I still make birthday cards for family members though sometimes.

I am kind of a Jill of most crafty trades but not extremely good at any of them.

Jay- Haha, yes I think Goma-chan would of kicked up a stink if I had actually DONE sumo. It was fun to watch though and if you are ever in Japan I totally recommend checking it out if it is on while you are here. It was such a great experience and I would definitely go again.

I think goma-chan kicks when I am holding a bub because something is resting on my stomach- I can make him kick by poking myself as well so I think he can just feel that something is resting on it maybe? Could be the heartbeat though- never thought of that.

Jess- I am jealous of how good Khea looks for a new mama- she is without internet at the moment so can`t comment herself but honestly if I look half as good as she does after giving birth I would be stoked.

I think there will be a couple months come December where I don`t cross ANYTHING off my list so trying to get a couple done now while I can.
