Things I love Thursday…

Idea courtesy of Gala Darling.

There are a couple of things I am hating this Thursday like resting and tiredness and medicine BUT it is all about the things I am loving so here goes. Although they might all be food.

- Red cheddar

- Getting out for a walk yesterday and today (although coming home exhausted was not fun)

- Tim tams (and jupiter the international food shop in Funabashi!)

- English books/novels. Reading The Time Traveller`s Wife at the moment and really enjoying it!

- Blueberry muffins made from scratch

- Not long now til weekend (which means Shun will be home, and even if I am resting at least I won`t be alone)

- Lunch with a friend today.

- Finally buying some safety pins to use as stitch markers for the hat I was making for goma-chan. (Yes, I use safety pins as stitch markers- they are cheap! Thank you Daiso!)

- Daiso (The 100yen shop) – in general daiso is awesome even if today all I bought was safety pins it is always fun to look around and see all the cheap stuff! Like the bento making supplies- even if I suck at making bento at least I can make them cute with all the daiso bento making supplies- not that Goma-chan will be needing a bento any time soon.

- Packages from Oita containing a baby bath, clothes and other assorted goodies- thanks Gaijinwife!

- Washing and folding all of Goma-chan`s clothes- he has some really cute stuff (and way more clothes than Shumpei. But not me as that would be almost impossible since I have so many clothes)

- Knowing that a package is on the way from Australia from my mum with some new clothes for Shun (early Christmas present), stuff for Goma-chan and a present for Goma-chan from my brother and his gf.

- The fact that Shun has some new clothes (we went to Lalaport on Sunday- although we went by taxi and home by taxi since I was supposed to be resting) and now does not look like such a dag when he goes to work. He doesn`t wear a suit (he just wears jeans most days) but he had no real winter/autumn clothes that were decent enough and he desperately needed some new shoes. Love shopping (although he hated it!)

- Grapes from my MIL- they were delicious and obviously those grapes in the supermarket that cost like 2000yen a punnet because they were so perfect.

- Having my dad ring me to chat- Usually I always have to ring him but he rang me on Tuesday to check in.

- The fact my mum will be arriving in Japan in just over two months! WOO!

Considering how exhausted I am today even though I only went to Tsudanuma (2 stops away) I think outings might be put on hold for awhile. The medicine still makes me shaky and when I am walking I get a lot more braxton hicks than I do when I am lying on the sofa or bed at home. Plus by the time I was walking home they were getting painful and I almost thought I was  going to need to sit down on the side of the road to rest. It was nice to meet up with my friend but weird to think it might be the last time without a baby…

Oh, I haven’t had Tim tams in ages!! YUM!! I really like the ones with the caramel in the middle…

I totally agree with you about all the obento stuff in Daiso!! I love looking at it all and dreaming about when I will be making obento’s for Baby N. It is really something that I am looking forward to!

    My list today:
    1) Receiving Home & Away, Neighbours and All Saints DVD’s that mum recorded.
    2) Getting my new That’s life magazine in the mail today
    3) Snuggles with Milo, especially now that it’s getting cooler!
    4) Having dinner already prepared and waiting.
    5) Receiving advice from friends on my blog.
    6) Really feeling Baby N move around today after lunch!

You know I still don`t think I have ever had tim tams, even though I have seen them in the grocery store. I will just have to go out and buy a pack when I get home

    things I am happy about
-MIL said I can go home 3 weeks have baby is born (yes 1 week earlier than I thought)
-mom is coming tomorrow so perhaps I can get out of the house more even if I am still with a babysitter
-the nice toast with butter and honey that I had at tea time (well hot chocolate time, even better)
    -we`re having gyoza for dinner

    2. the smell of fresh laundry

Ohhh how exciting, it’s all happening now! I do hope that Goma Chan will behave himself and stay inside you for as long as possible! When you mentioned seeing “my sister’s keeper” the other day I was going to ask if you had read The Time Traveller’s Wife. I thought you might like it! I haven’t read the book but I’ve seen the movie preview and it looks awesome!
