Christmas already?…
Christmas seems to have come early in the Cherry Blossom Adventures household with a HUGE package arriving from my mum and family in Australia yesterday.
Most of the stuff was for Goma-chan as you can see above but Shun also got some early christmas presents- 2 sweaters, pair of pants, pair of shoes and a hooded jumper. He was in desperate need for some new work clothes so mum sent him some stuff over! They all fit great! You can`t see very well in the photo above but there is a grey sweater for me too that will be great for feeding bub after he is born. It is also very roomy meaning I can wear it now as long as my bump doesn`t get much bigger (I have it on now!)
There was lots of jump suits (Sara & Sakura`s favourite Bonds wondersuits!), socks, singlets and a couple of other outfits. Also a cloth christmas book from my dad and a “my first soccer ball” from my brother and his girlfriend Gem.
You might be wondering WHY there is a purple jumpsuit for a little boy? Well that is actually on Shun`s behalf since his favourite colour is purple and I would say 25% of the things in his wardrobe are purple or have purple in them- so it is so I can match him and little Goma-chan later on! haha! They are not in the photos but mum also sent the rest of my “bum genius” cloth diapers that I had ordered to her house in Australia.
Also in the package (I told you it was a big one!) was a gift from my godmother Kate. Kate lives down south but was up in Brisbane a couple of weeks ago and spent the night at my mum`s and dropped off the package then!
Here is the present from Kate for Goma-chan

Singlets, socks, clothes, bibs (hand-made), and a face towel for the bath!
Goma-chan is seriously going to overtake me soon with the amount of clothes he has- Shun has already commented that he has WAY more clothes than he does. His chest of drawers is almost full and I only have stuff in there for him until six months (anything I got that was bigger I have put in a box for safe keeping!) and I haven`t even started on collecting much “new” summer stuff.
In other news I do not shake as much when I take the medicine anymore and the braxton hicks contractions do not come as frequently and are rarely painful so I am hoping the medicine is working and that I will not have effaced or dilated any further when I see the doctor next time. He wanted me to come in on Friday but I explained to him that I would need to walk 15 minutes to the station and then catch the train (changing once!) and then walk the 2 minutes to the clinic and he said “fine, stay home and just come if there is problems but from next appointment you will need to come every week” – I might start making my appointments on Tuesday and getting my MIL to take me since she does not work that day (She works mornings and afternoons for 2 hours each time at a Hoikuen) or changing it to Saturday and still going by train but Shun will be with me then- the waiting time on a Saturday is SOOOOOO long though! Will have to wait and see. I could take a taxi to the clinic but it would be about 2500 or 3000yen I think – it is probably about 12km away from my house (could be totally off there though)
I was supposed to go to Design Festa today with Cassie but since walking a lot brings the braxton hicks contractions on and they hurt (which is why I am supposed to rest I guess) we cancelled earlier in the week. Such a shame as I was really looking forward to it and it would of been great fun. I went a couple of year`s ago and had a blast although spent WAY too much money on goods. So now instead my FIL is coming to pick us up soon and we are going to the in-laws for the day so Shun can help him with his computer and I can just lay around and read- plus we will stay for dinner and get dropped home later meaning I do not have to cook which is always nice!
I always get lots of random things (although sometimes they are awesome, especially all the fruit and sometimes cheese) from my MIL to bring home so feel free to guess away at what I will be bringing home tonight- last time was just grapes, some veggie things in a jar for Shun and some mail so not so strange but the time before that we got a month`s supply of toilet paper, tissues, meat, fruit, moroheya, nato, apple pie, 2 bottles of water, new blankets and lots more!

Xmas will be here so so soon!
Ohhhh my goodness! Goma chan sure does have lots of clothes! Love the Bonds outfits! You can never have enough of those and they are unisex so you can use them for your next child too! Have a great time at the in-laws and enjoy not having to cook!
Finally coming out of lurkdom! The clothes are all gorgeous! I love Aussie baby clothes. I am expecting no. 2 in April and can’t wait to find out what I am having so I can start shopping. I am already checking out Pumpkin Patch online. I love purple for boys too! My 4 year old son has a fair bit of purple stuff and it really suits him. Enjoy the rest of your pregnancy!
Pressies rock and Bonds pressies rock even more! Alex has so much bonds stuff, it`s way cute (and washes well
)- I have a load of bonds underthings that I love too. Think there is definately a trip to the Bonds outlet while we are in Oz.
Shame you will miss Design Festa, but it`s on often enough that you can go another time.
Glad to here baby is staying in
You guys are all so spoilt
All the stuff looks lovely though!! I think Goma chan nearly has more clothes than me, lol!
I hope your next appointment goes well and the doctor can reassure you that the medicine is doing what it is supposed to.
Glad to hear that the medication seems to be doing its thing and fingers crossed for good news at your next appointment. The baby stuff is all adorable… yay for care packages!
We couldn’t make it to design festa this time either, just got home last night… it’s probably a good thing though as I spend far too much on postcards when I go. You’ll be able to take a 6-month-old Goma-chan to the next one though!
So glad the medicine seems to be working. I think MIL driving you is a great idea, why take a risk you don’t have to take, right? =) Hope everything with the little goma goes well. ALMOST BABY TIME! Gaaaaah!!! *excited*
Love the outfits! Looks like my latest parcel but blue lol
That’s so sweet they sent stuff for Shun too.
Lucky goma-chan!!! love the clothes… so teeny weeny and cute. Sakura has the same easy suit… even in blue
(we’re not fussed on colours here either.. purple is fine for a boy!)
I’m sure you are more prepared than I was!
Good to hear the meds are doing their thing too!! Good luck for your next appointment! <3
Nice loot you got there… it looks like you are ready to welcome your new addition!!!!
