Don't worry about his nose too much - I remember freaking out about Sakura but she was fine in the end and quite cute if I may say so myself!!!

I can't believe your bump!!!! Its awesome you should be proud... can't believe they will be taking you off the meds in 2 weeks!! Goma-chan could be here before the end of the month!!

Silly Dr. indeed. I gained twice what you have... You are totally fine for Aussie/US standards! I know the resting is boring but just think in only a couple weeks you will have a BABY!?!!?!

Fingers crossed on the cold not being flu -- I am confident you will fight it off overnight tho, and wake up tomorrow feeling fine. I'm with the commenters above, pretty sure you can still get a fever without your tonsils, a fever is just your body trying to burn off an infection. And you're right, that doctor was silly -- of course you would put on weight if you are to do nothing but rest, and I don't think starving yourself will do you or Goma-chan any favours.
Pfft, doctors.

Nice bump! Not long to go now hey! You must be feeling very excited. I hope goma chan decides to stay in for a few weeks but as you said he will be fine anyway. Enjoy your last few weeks of freedom ;-)

Your bump looks like it has grown since last time I saw you - I seriously didn't think it was possible!! I agree with Laura, it is a very pretty shirt!!

Glad to hear that the medicine you are taking is working to prevent pre-term labour but I am sure it was a relief to know that goma chan is big enough and healthy enough to born early if that's what ends up happening. Can't believe he is going to be here soon!! I am so excited for you and Shun!!

I hope you start feeling better soon!

Definitely hold off on going to the doctor until you're pretty sure you've got the flu and not just a normal cold. There's a lot more sickness floating around at the clinic than there is anywhere else and you're probably better off just resting at home unless you spike a high fever (I am pretty sure you can still get a fever without tonsils) or start having trouble breathing.

I love your response to the doctor, that's the right attitude! I have gained about the same amount as you this pregnancy and I'm pretty proud of how well I've done. I think I also put on about 2kg between 31 and 33 weeks, but then I went back on Friday at 35 weeks and had only put on .6kg, so maybe there is a growth spurt somewhere around 32-33 weeks for the baby too? Do you have to start doing weekly appointments yet? I have to start now, I'm 36 weeks as of tomorrow! Yikes!

cute bump!! good to hear that things are settled with the pre-term labour issues and the meds are working. Hope the sniffles and sore throat are nothing to worry about - I have had same too, but think it is just a cold, and change in weather bringing it on. Take care!

You look fantastic, Lulu! I love that top too! Don't worry about what the doctor said! I would have laughed at him too! Of course you would gain weight if you weren't doing any excersise! What a gorgeous baby blanket! Such a lovely gift to receive!

You can definitely still get a fever if you've had your tonsils out...another piece of Japanese "wisdom" there ;) But still, hope you don't get sick though!

Congrats on making it to the 34 weeks mark - the medicine must be working! I love that you said that to the doctor too :)

you can get a fever if you've had your tonsils out. i had mine out at five, and have had plenty of fevers since then. esp. when i had the flu (about 20 years ago, wow!), that was pretty high. tonsils (as i understand it) are supposed to get infected and are a way of helping the lymph system (as it's a part of the system) to fight infections in our bodies. i don't think it's what causes fever.

hm, having written that out makes me want to consult dr. google! LOL or maybe WebMD. but i don't think that not having tonsils means no fevers.

at any rate, hope you're not sick with the flu!! and good news about goma-chan, i can hardly wait to 'meet' him!!

Yay you're getting closer! So exciting. :)
That dark-blue top you've got on is very cute! Did you buy it at UNIQLO? It looks like something they would sell.

I've never heard the "you can`t get a fever because if you have no tonsils" bit. I still have my tonsils, so I wouldn't know from experience! Hehe. That's an interesting rumor though.

I don't look forward to the "having to pee every 5 minutes" ordeal when I get pregnant in the future, since as of right now - I seem to use the bathroom a lot already (because I like drinking a lot of tea and coffee! oops).

Hope you stay healthy and happy! Best wishes. <3
