The 19th would be the day of the Bonenkai. So maybe the joking about taking our hospital bags and having it close to a taxi stop helped you "choosing" this day?
I have no idea for the November date though.

DH also has a very low temperature, like 35.something while I am at 36.8 or so.
A half Japanese friend at Uni told me, that she felt really awful when having something that the surrounding German friends would not even consider a real temperature, and much less a fever.

Wow it sounds so cold over there! I'm waiting for the temps here in the US to start getting colder since it's November, but then where I live we had snow showers in early October!

I also watch Flash Forward, it's a very interesting show, it keeps you watching that is for sure.

I'm sure people just have different normal temperatures, anytime I feel like I have a fever I check it and it's always close to normal, it's so strange!

Glad to hear you don't have the flu but make sure you get your needed rest :)

I provided you with *one* Facebook message... it's not my fault facebook said it was too long and I had to cut it down into many parts. I started doing it up as a video tutorial a couple of days ago, so maybe it'll make an appearance on my blog at some point :) Good luck with the quilt making, can't wait to see it!

nny, it's suddenly started warming up here, at least it's not windy and overcast all the time any more. I'm beginning to get a bit scared about going into the Northern Hemisphere winter!

It definitely did get cold awfully quick, didn't it!! It's nowhere near as cold as Chiba here though - we are still in our low 20's but the wind is freezing!! I'm pulling out our doona and blanket today because the nights are getting quite chilly...

I haven't heard either that different nationalities have different body temperatures but like Shun, Naoki does have a lower body temperature than me. I think you and I are on the higher side of average!!

I have only seen the pictures Melanie has posted on her blog of Misora but she is so adorable!! Like Khea said, you are next!! I can't wait to finally meet goma-chan!!

I've never heard about difference in national body temperature. Individuals have slightly different base temperatures though, and different methods (oral, anal, under-arm) record slightly different temperatures too. In addition, different thermometers records different temperatures, and your body temperature is almost never static, starting low and going higher in the evening and when you are ill, the temperature goes up and down constantly!

Phew! Which is to say you're both normal.

I don't think half a degree is anything to worry about, but if you're pg, best to stay on the safe side and check. Flu can manifest in some people as a long-term low-grade fever and more-than-usual tiredness.

It was 5!!!! degrees when I got back to Niigata yesterday.... OMFG

Glad to hear you liked Flash Forward!! I'm finding it really interesting as well... I wish Ryohei understood more English so we could watch it together but like you said without subtitles I think he gets too frustrated.

You know, if you want you can designate someone like Nay or I to be your "designated" baby blog and have one of us at least post when Goma-chan is here. You could save the big birth post with his name and details and pictures for your own blog when you get home but if you wanted people to know you had him maybe Nay will post it for you (I would also as long as I am still in Japan)

I really hope today will be warmer.... its FREEZING!!!! Gosh I can't believe Goma-chan will be here in so soon - I really hope he's not 6 days late!! That would be quite the long haul lol.

I think it's funny how you have these very specific dates for Goma-chan, but can't remember how you arrived at them. A dream would make sense, even if you can't remember it. Speaking of dreams, I dreamed recent of a pygmy man being kept in a zoo, and he was biting my head. Moving swiftly on...

Hooray for Amanda providing you with lots of quilt-making info. She is a lovely, obliging girl, isn't she? ;) Hopefully quilt making well help keep you busy and keep your mind off the enforced resting.

As for body temperatures, I've not heard before anything like different nationalities having different levels of normal -- it could just be that Shun is one end of the scale on what is normal? Who knows, it might be worth looking into, though.
