Things I love Thursday…

Time for another edition of Things I Love Thursday- Idea courtesy of Gala Darling.

  • Hot coffee- even the instant kind although I would much prefer a starbucks but sadly haven`t had one in awhile.
  • Getting closer to my due date- I seem to be in pain a lot when I try to move around and I figure the closer I get to my due date then the closer I get to meeting my little boy (and then after he is born I won`t be in pain so much!)
  • Sleep-ins
  • My purple dressing gown with white spots- I have never had a dressing gown before but my mum sent it to me a couple of months ago when she sent some wintery feeding friendly PJs- she figured I might need it when I get up in the night after bub arrives since Japanese apartments/houses do not have very good insulation and certainly don`t have central heating. I use it a lot at the moment even during the day (when I am home) as a blanket to cover my feet. It is nice and snuggly! (I am still refusing to use the heat since it is only November!)
  • Skype chats with Nay & Sarah.
  • Nice sunny weather we had yesterday- bit of a shame the cold wintery rainy weather had to come back today.
  • Blistex- not sure why my lips are so dry but luckily I have blistex! It is a lip conditioner/balm and it is my savior!
  • Mixed Berry Bio yogurt. YUM!
  • Long phone chat with my dad last night- he seemed well. Mum rang a couple hours later and it was nice to chat with her too- I think they are worried that if I have the baby they will be the last ones to know but Shun knows he is supposed to call them after the baby is born even if he can only say “baby arrived” in English…hehe. Luckily we don`t really have to worry about time difference!!!
  • Finding out that one of my best friend James (was best man at our wedding!) and his girlfriend Shizuka have found an apartment to move into next month together and it is in Funabashi- just a 20 minute walk from where we live!!!! Now I just have to find out how they feel about babysitting- hehe!
  • Having weekend plans- going to in-laws for dinner on Saturday night and having Cat come over on Sunday with some movies for a girly night in! I get so bored during the week that it is nice to have plans to do something on the weekends- just wish my cough (and the rain!) would go away so I could get out more…

What things are you loving this Thursday?

I can imagine getting closer to your due date must be a huge “love” this week! And just think, it doesn’t seem so long ago that there were worries Goma-chan would be early! I bet you are going to miss calling him that once he’s born ;)

I’ve slacked off on my “Things I Love” in recent weeks, I need to get back on it!

Yay for nice dressing gowns! although I can’t believe you are still not using heat – yesterday was freezing, the coldest Nov day for 17 years, apparently!!! We have every heating appliance on……weaklings, aren’t we, hehe.

Looking forward to goma-chans safe arrival soon, to exciting! Make sure you pack the lip balm with you in your hospital bag too – I remember eing very dry the whole time in hospital, and esp. after giving birth.

I am living in my dressing gown now too!! Aren’t they just so nice and cosy – although if I recall correctly yours is even better than mine. Mine’s quite old and has lost most of its fuzziness…

I hope you have a wonderful weekend. It’s nice to have plans for the weekend, isn’t it. We are going to our friend’s house for dinner tonight and then sometime tomorrow Sara, Ryohei and Sakura will arrive for a whole weekend of chat and gossip. I can’t wait!

Not too much longer until Goma chan is born and you are free from all the uncomfortableness late pregnancy brings!

I want a dressing gown!! hahaha! I have been donning my blanket every morning when I wake up to make RIki’s Bento!

I’m so excited that your due date is getting closer… I can’t wait to see your beautiful little boy!

I hope the weather for you today was as good as here. I’ve still got a bit of a cough so I can’t go out for a walk.. especially not without my winter clothes…

Enjoy the instant coffee… it’s better than none. I’ve been mixing some vanilla extract in my unflavoured coffee… yummy! wish Japan had better things like peppermint extract! that would be very nice!

    xxxx

I am loving being in NY with my parents and my husband and my daughter. We’re all happily enjoying some quality time together and getting ready to celebrate Thanksgiving American style (with lots of turkey and gravy!). I’m loving it!
