Heather- sounds like a fairly pretty nice list of things you love!!! I am thinking of requesting this nurse to do my injection of Anti-D after bub is born (due to me having negative blood type) BUT I think she was only there to do the swine flu needles. I had never seen her before- her helper was a regular though.

Luisa- I will keep it in mind about the Naati translator although he seems pretty switched on. He is an Aussie based in Shinjuku and has had a lot of things go through the embassy fine. Also, he has offered to do it for free since he says it is so easy as long as I pay for the delivery. I will just scan him the document and also a filled in template with names etc. That sucks about the person you used originally!!!

Umebossy- I did make the curry myself but I used curry paste and cream so not so healthy perhaps?! haha. It was a chicken and veggie curry and I like to pack them with veggies.

You made vegie gyoza? I am jealous. I know how to make gyoza BUT I am always way too lazy to make them. Sometimes If my MIL is making them when I am there though I help her out...

Gaijinwife- Sounds as if the NZ system is similar to American system- ie, do both at same time. Australian embassy unfortunately doesn`t it seems. Damn shame. What about middle names for your kids? Do they have middle names? I have to speak to someone in the citizenship area on MOnday at the embassy because we have to discuss how to get the correct english spelling of names on stuff...because whatever is on the citizenship cert has to be on the passport. Also, it really does seem that middle names can`t be added later so unless they are on the Japanese version we can`t do it :-(

Will email you about the unbloggable stuff.

Nay- Gem, bro`s gf headed to Bali yesterday so she wanted to say hi and goodluck before she went cos she will be in Bali for 2 weeks and bub might come during that time. I speak to my brother on the phone every so often- but he is better at emails.... Usually he writes back which is nice. hehe. Or I just harass him with more emails until he does. LOL

I will let you know how i go with the passport application etc etc- I am taking notes and might put up a "how to" on blog for other Aussies since the system changed in March this year.

Nikki- It was a bit of a relief to get it. Never had a flu shot before, might start getting the normal flu shots from next year though for me and for bub. Will have to wait and see though and look into it a bit more. Hope you can get yours soon!!!!!

Great news you could get your swine flu shot! It would have been terrible for you to get it before you gave birth or even after! Like Nay, I have to wait at least 3 weeks to get mine so I am worried about getting it. Almost everyone I know seems to be coming down with it :-( Liam had his shot though so at least I have to worry less about him bringing it home from daycare.

I love Indian curry too! I actually had some out of the freezer for lunch today :-)

Talking with your brother and his g/f must have been great. I wish I had that type of relationship with my brother but sadly we don't... which means I never speak to him unless its face to face...

Great news about goma-chans passport translation. I think I might be coming to you for advice in 5 months time!!

Glad to hear that your cookies turned out ok this time around :) I am attempting to make banana muffins this afternoon and am a little worried they will turn out like my last attempt of apple ones did...

Good luck with the passport. NZ has a good system now where they do Citizenship and passports together if you ask. I paid 40 dollars for their in house translator. It was very painless. Obviously gom-chan not a kiwi though so I hope they don't dick you round too much.

Things I love Thursday - hmmmm, it's the shittiest day of the week but we'll give it a go.
1) having the two teachers of the kids I teach at primary school be away so I got to be queen of the classroom. So much easier.
2) had a good chat with my bro too
3) going out to lunch in the middle of a hectic day and foregetting that my friend owed me! gochisousama!

Not long to go now! Take it easy.

Oh, my unbloggables person rang this morning at half five - not noticing the time difference. She left a message wanting to 'talk'. I have a feeling she's up to step 'talk' stage though and I can't be emotionally bothered dealing with it until I have finished the translation. Selfish?? WIll they let her out if she hasn't been able to 'talk' to everyone? She is out on monday.

Mmm curry! I make it myself to make it a little healthier but there's nothing like going out to eat a garlic naan the size of a small country ;)

Yesterday I was loving the slightly warmer weather and the vegetable gyoza that I made for dinner - yum! :)

yay for good nurses!!
oh I`ve had some bad experiences with Naati translators..make sure you get someone who actually translates what the document says- we had trouble because my surname was hyphenated and she didn`t pick up on it, paid for the translation only to realise it was wrong and she wouldn`t re-do without another payment!! (A lot of Naati translators are Japanese living in Australia so perhaps they don`t pick up on obvious things like that as they are not common in Japan)..found a great one now so anyways, long comment- just be careful.

Rest up and be well :)
