Scrapbooking so far…

I have been working on Noah`s scrapbook- I am not very good at scrapbooking but I am enjoying putting it together…

Noah`s scrapbook- first page

First Visitors- scrapbook page

First Christmas- scrapbook page

First few weeks- scrapbook page

A post about Noah`s recent developments to come soon, but to be honest I am too exhausted to write it all down now. Hopefully I will find some time in the next couple of days… (but if he is as unsettled as he has been most nights during the last week for the next couple of days then the post might have to wait. I am seriously beginning to think that people can actually die from sleep deprivation.)

Also anyone that had been having issues with my site recently (mainly those using internet explorer as a browser) should no longer be having issues as my server host updated some things- if you are still having any issues loading the page or commenting please let me know or comment on the post below this one and my server host will look into it. Thanks to Radans & Snos, my host provider people (that is definitely the technical term, hehe) for helping me sort out the issues so quickly!!!

    They look great!!!!

It will get better. You will get to sleep again one day. Not saying that it will be 12 hrs of uninterrupted sleep but more than an hour or so at a time…..

I quote you with ” I am not very good at scrapbooking ” Haaaaa…….?????!!! My god,I want to hire you to do my kids’ scrapbooks! I am so so envious of your skills.I shall say no more!

Lulu I would say you are VERY good at scrapbooking! Those pages are beautiful!

The scrapbook looks great. You are so creative. I don’t have too much to say about the sleep, I am finishing up my 5th year with interruped sleep for hmmm, 95% of that time. That said, I have been nursing or pregnant for 100% of that time. If you decided to stop nursing at a year old or so ,good chance you will have some better nights with no interruptions and that one year comes so fast.
Sleeplessness loves company so if it makes you feel any better- next time Noah wakes in the middle of the night think that I am probably doing the same and we can send synchronized “hush baby” vibes to the respective akachans.
Sorry, I don’t know your password to see protected posts. I hope everything is well with you.

Wow, that is awesome, makes me want to scapbook too, but I feel like I’m way too disorganized to keep up with a project like that. Your pages look great though, dang I’m impressed.

The sleep will get better, I promise. Noah is probably going through a bit of a growth spurt. Annika had a few rough nights a couple of weeks back but she’s sleeping better than ever now, so hopefully Noah will follow her lead. It isn’t 12 hours or even 8, but she’ll sleep for good 4 hour blocks and goes back to sleep easily after a feed, which is nice. She wasn’t doing that even 3 weeks ago, so there has been progress on the sleep front and I hope that you’re just around the corner from a sleep breakthrough!

I’m so glad I can finally comment on your blog again. I was having issues for the past week or so and I thought it was just me and the stupid Great Firewall but it seems to be fine now!

Yes, Laura, you ARE terrible, horrible at scrapbooking! I mean look at that, it looks like something a pro made…no one likes that. Look at all the creativity…and colours… fancy layouts and great pictures… it’s …. ugh.

Please stop insulting the talentless by calling your wonderful skill, “not very good.” =P
I think I made my point.

    *stomps on the ground*
    *walks away promptly*

What does the cover look like? Is it a pure, from scratch scrapbook or did it come with layouts for you to try kinda thing. Either way, I’m way impressed! Hang in there with the sleep!

Lol I agree with everyone, you are definitely wonderful at scrapbooking. I am so impressed you have time to do it. I only put Liam’s photos into albums but have about a year’s worth to do. I really should make sure it’s done before Miss M arrives. I hope you start getting some more sleep soon. Sleep deprivation really is the worst.

I love it! Strained my eyes trying to read all the descriptions. :)

Just thought I’d give you some encouragement for if you get frustrated/ tired with it: I made a mini scrapbook at last year’s convention. I had an hour, a bunch of 2nd rate pics (stupid printing kiosk at 7-11) and no idea what I was doing. I mad a book about the girls and called it Sisters. It’s one of their favourite bedtime stories! I’m sure it’s meant to be wrapped up in acid free paper somewhere but I get such a kick out of them oohing and ahhing about it all it’s on their bookshelf.

Oh, and if you want supplies there is an AFWJer who sells that stuff and does workshops as her business, she’s advertised in the back of the directory. Ganbarre!

Thanks everyone for the encouragement regarding scrapbooking. And sleep!

Noah had a better night last night and once he finally settled about 7:30pm (after an hour and a half of trying) he slept until 1am, then woke up again at 4am and then just after 6am. Then him and I slept on the sofa for another 45 minutes! He went down after each feed again nicely too.

Heather- you mean Kirsten right? That is who I contacted about supplies and some of the stuff you see came from her! She was great! Amanda Y put me in contact with her- I haven`t met Kirsten before but I hope to attend one of her scrapbooking classes one day as I imagine they are amazing!

The cover of the scrapbook is just a pale blue. I can add extra pages in etc and eventually I will put cover over the pages so they don`t age but I will wait til i am finished I think. I am hoping it will be for about the first 1-2 years of Noah`s life. I will then do another one after that probably if I get really into it!

I have a photo album where I put photos too- and I have put all the cards he received as gifts in there as well.

Also his monthly letters I will print out and make pages in the scrapbook for with envelopes etc- so when he gets older he can open them up!

Oh and Khea, no I do not have layout suggestions but I looked around online a lot for ideas. Plus I spend a little time trying to match up the colours before I start glueing and cutting- and do a rough copy of what I am going to use/do.

Oh and heather I love that your girls like there`s as a bedtime story- I might do a small one like that for Noah later on. Perhaps of his first birthday about a little boy that turns 1! hehe- it still seems so far away!

I totally agree with everyone else Lulu – your scrapbook looks amazing!! If I didn’t know, I would have assumed you have been scrapbooking for years. I know that when I get started on mine it’s going to look NOTHING like yours. Noah is going to love looking back at the scrapbook when he gets older. I especially love the idea of putting the letters you have written to him in there :)

I have to agree with everyone else, your scrapbook looks awesome! You are more talented than you give yourself credit for!
