Things I love Thursday…

Feeling a bit unmotivated today and just a bit down- I am not sure why but I think part of it is tiredness, the recent weather and Shun`s insane working hours plus knowing he will be working this Saturday (yet I have know plans for the weekend and am even contemplating ringing my in-laws to see if I can spend the day there on Saturday)

But there are still some things I am loving this Thursday

  • Little Scholastic brand books- I love them- they are designed for babies to age three and we have about 4 and they are great to read with Noah! Firstly they are board books (so when he gets old he can`t rip them, plus they will withstand his drool a little longer)
  • The 親子カフェ (parent/child cafe) near my house.
  • The sun coming out- yes it is finally out after some dreadful rainy and cold weather
  • Purikura- and having Noah in his first every purikura!
  • Spending time with Clare over the weekend!
  • Hanami plans!
  • Knowing Shun`s current work project will be coming to an end in 2 weeks!
  • Awesome beef stew in the slow cooker
  • Eating yummy yummy pizza in Fuchu with Cassie & Nana last Friday.
  • Going in to pick up Noah this morning after hearing him “chat” to himself and having him smile as soon as he saw me!

    Things I love this thursday:

Having a friend to chat to almost constantly, as I get lonely a lot these days =)
    The amazing weather today
The fact that nana can now withstand an entire trip to kunitachi and back with no stroller, walking on her own the whole way
making plans in my head to come and see you soon
    Trips to Hakone
    Red sofas
    The daily show re-runs
I think that is about it….
    Hope you get un-blue soon…hugs!

It must be hard with Shun working such crazy hours… especially with a newborn in the picture now. I am hoping that Shun’s next project won’t be so big and he will have plenty of ‘come home early and spend with my beautiful wife and gorgeous son’ days. *HUGS*

You are right – those Little Scholastic brand books are fantastic! After seeing the ones you have, I have been looking into getting some for Baby N. Her bookshelf is going to be full before she is even born if I keep going like I am, lol!

So jealous of your hanami plans!! I hope that next year we can organise another big hanami party with everyone. Can you imagine what it will be like with all the little ones running around playing together?! How cute…

I hope you cheer up soon :) Let me know if there is anything I can do!!

Ooh I don’t know if I know about the little Scholastic brand books. I will have to check them out!

So glad Shun’s busy time at work is almost over. I will be facing the same thing as Ryuji is super busy in April and May but luckily I will have my mum here for the whole time.

I am so looking forward to warm and sunny weather and hanami too! We have had some horrible weather here in Yamaguchi this week and it has totally got me down! It’s supposed to be sunny and warm tomorrow though so I hope it’s the start of spring for all of us.

Very intrigued about the parent and child cafe…

Yeah- positivity shines out of your list- I loooove baby babble. SO much cuter than when they learn to speak and start in on the yada and dame stuff….

We had an oyako cafe in Saitama and I practically lived there….

Hanami? Wow. Already?? Ours isn’t until Mayish….

The Little Scholastic Books are great. I remember having them growing up and they were always my favorite.

I’m so jealous about the hanami! I’m trying to drag my fiancee to the National Cherry Blossom Festival here in the US. If we get to visit Japan in the next few years I want to go during hanami viewing.

The weather doesn’t help the motivation factor. Last week here we had so many sunny days it was great. It’s going to rain this weekend but go back to the sun and slightly warmer temperatures so I am looking forward to it. I hope the sun stays out for you to enjoy it :)

Hopefully Shun’s crazy hours will be done shortly and you get to spend some family time together soon.

Beef stew in the crock pot is just awesome! We did the same this week on the rainiest and coldest day! Warms the heart. But what warms it more… those baby smiles and knowing he loves mama with all his heart! *swoon*
