I missed last week with all the excitement of having my brother and Gem back with us in Chiba so this one is for the last 2 weeks
- A trip booked for our anniversary next month.
- Making Thai curry for dinner tonight. YUM! I hope there is leftovers!
- My 1200yen watch- my old watch broke and they said it was going to take 1800yen to fix it and it wasn`t even a really expensive watch so I went and bought a new one. I like it cos it just slips on and off my wrist, perfect for bath times with Noah!
- Eyeshadow- I hadn`t worn much eyeshadow in years but a birthday present from Gem & Paul saw me trying out my make-up skills and now I am LOVING eyeshadow again. Napolean eyeshadow rocks!
- Warmer (mostly sunny) weather- although today it sucks again.
- Co-op- having things delivered each week is great!
- Our Sunday walk together as a family- we walked to the Peater Pan bakery (yes that is the name, spelt that way), grabbed some lunch then walked to a local park to sit under the blossoms and eat our yummy bakery goodies and enjoy the AWESOME warm weather we had (25 degrees or so)
- Having shun say “My turn” when I went to put Noah back in his carrier to go home that day. Shun likes to “carry” Noah now!! So cute!
- New cleaning routine. Sounds stupid perhaps but I love it and it is definitely keeping me more on track of household stuff!
- My first ever cheesecake being a success.
- The safe arrival of Nay`s little girl Leilah Kate.
- Lunch and shopping date with Sara & Sakura yesterday at Lalaport.
- The jolly jumper- Noah loves it!
- Having our photo taken with a sumo and a fun day out with my brother, Gem & Noah.
- Getting everything in order so that I can go to immigration tomorrow and apply for an extension of my visa.
- This photo of my little man sitting all by himself. Yep, he is sitting unaided and isn`t even 4 months old yet!
Many many things I am loving this week!

ohhh family walks. I love going for a walk together. And someone else carrying the baby to boot? Bonus!
this is a particularly good list this week! hmm, i keep considering trying out TILT for myself… it’s always nice to focus on the positive things going on in your life
Maybe next week I’ll do one!
Where are you and Shun going for your anniversary? Or is it a ~secret getaway~? ;p
Your thai green curry sounds yummy! Do you make it from scratch?
Your family walks sound nice. We went out for a walk with Milo yesterday but on the way home Leilah decided she wasn’t enjoying it at all and cried the whole way home…
I seriously can’t believe how quickly Noah is growing up. He is going to be crawling before u know it!!
Thank you for Things-I-love-Thursdays! The past few times I’ve written one it has been super easy, so many things to love. But I had a crappy day today and was in a bad mood – a bad mood that evaporated once I sat down in front of the computer and made myself think about good things!
Ooh where is your trip? And is it getting together anniversary or wedding anniversary? Both of ours are next month – I guess the UK trip will have to do as our celebration for both
That pic of Noah is so sweet…he looks a bit surprised that he’s pulled it off!
Heather- Totally! I am hoping this Sunday the weather will be nice again and we can go catch the last of the cherry blossoms by the river/stream- a 5 minute walk from the house.
ELizabeth- We are going to a RYokan in Shizuoka near one of the Fuji Five Lakes- on the way we will go see Nay and her new bub and then back towards Fuji to stay for two nights. I am really excited- will be our first time away with Noah!
Nay- I actually made yellow curry last night because Shun finds the Green too spicy (but I love it)- I make it from scratch I guess? I mean I buy the paste and coconut milk though and then I cut the chicken, capsicums, piman, snow peas, onion and potato. There was leftovers and I am going to eat some soon. I love it!
I hope he doesn`t crawl TOO early. We still haven`t baby proofed.
Sarah- I read your list this morning! It was a good one. I always like to write mine too. Thanks for stopping by to comment.
umebossy- Shizuoka. It will be our 1st wedding anniversary but we had our 5 year “together” anniversary in January when Noah was just a couple weeks old.
I think he was a bit surprised!!!! That wasn`t the first time he sat by himself but the first time it was for a long time…and after about 30 seconds I grabbed my phone to get a photo. HEHE!
Hi….. I found you through FYBF.
And i am here to stay. This post is really beautiful and cute. I loved the baby’s pic. He’s so adorable…… and my fav point is the eight one. Really cute…..
Hop to my blog sometime. I hope that you would like it…
HI Laura.. I am dropping in from FYBF and Brenda.
Curry, huh? My favourite (next to sushi!). And I am thrilled to read that you are a transplanted person too (I’m a Canadian in Poland) and am raising two boys in Warsaw with my Polish husband. Challenging, huh?
And good luck with your visa extension process. In Poland, it’s a nightmare, so I get sympathy pains whenever I hear about anyone else who has to tackle the bureaucracy. How is it in Japan – organised?? Painless?? I certaionly hope so
Listen. I just had a thought. Would you like to write a guest post on my blog?? I am starting a new feature every week where I invite another person living in a foreign country to write about their experiences… here’s the link to the first one:

Let me know what you think… and that photo of NOah is gorgeous. Love the hair!
Hi Lulu,
Your blog equals fab! I love it! And Thai Curry…nomness!!
Oooh, Happy FYBF!
Hi,
I’m Courtney from FYBF over at Mummy time. Sounds like you have an interesting life living in chiba. I actually know where that is! My brother served a mission in Japan(Mormon) and served in the Chiba area. Anyway, would love to see some pics of your bakery goodies at Peter Pan bakery, sounds cool! My blog, http://www.welfarewisdom.blogspot.com.
Hi, I’m loving your blog, how unique! I’ve subscribed. Happy FYBF!!
Wow, can’t believe your baby is sitting up already! That’s great
It is known that money can make people independent. But what to do when one has no money? The one way only is to receive the mortgage loans or term loan.
