TILT inspired by an idea from Gala Darling
- A sleeping baby! Yep, Noah is down for his morning nap, in his cot and has been that way now for 35 minutes and counting (he usually only naps for 40 or 45 minutes but I am trying to see if we can have less naps a day that are longer. Not sure if he is up for that yet though!)
- Veggie soup simmering on the stove. Shun was off work yesterday and we had yakiniku for dinner at home but had heaps of veggies left over that we didn`t cook. So I cut them all up, fried them in the pot, added some beef stock and garlic, some tin tomatoes and some Italian herbs and now it is simmering. Perfect day for some veggie soup too plus I am super happy that the veggies didn`t have to go to waste.
- Good friends. You know who you are!
- Sock animals for Noah from Melanie- he loves them!! Now he has Takotako (red octopus), wan-chan the bear dog (blue dog/bear), and Froggy McSocky. Yeah I like to name all his stuffed toys.
- Playgroup plans for a Chiba playgroup that will meet once a month or so on a weekday- more info to follow once Stephanie (South African friend in Urayasu with 4 month old boy) and I sort out the details.
- Finally working on Noah`s 4 month letter…might get it done today.
- New blogs!
- Family walks and rented dvds!
Oh, and the baby woke up! So list cut short this week.

I am just a twenty something Aussie girl living in Chiba, Japan with my Japanese husband trying to make sense of the crazy Japanese world we live in! We welcomed our first son in December 2009 (Noah) and a second son in January 2011, 2 months premature (Shion). I am working hard at raising them to be confident, bilingual, happy kids!
Soup sounds yummy! bummer its been raining all day – i haven’t left the house once.

Sleeping babies are lovely, aren’t they… They definitely make ‘internet time’ a little easier especially when I want to leave comments, lol. I seriously would love another set of hands!!
I love rented DVD’s too. Have you seen anything recently you would recommend? I am hoping to go the video store this weekend and rent a DVD actually. Although I don’t know if it will end up happening or not!!
Hahahaha, bear dog, I think the name has stuck. We`ll just have to see what Noah thinks it is when he gets older.
