Chiba peanuts multicultural playgroup…

Just a shout out to say that a friend (Stephanie) & I are starting a playgroup out in the Chiba area that will meet on average once a month on weekdays.

She lives in Urayasu on the Tozai line and I live on the Sobu line so we will meet around this area, mainly along the Tozai line (like in Myoden, Gyotoku etc. Also maybe at Lalaport or in oyako cafe`s in the area)

Some info:

Who is welcome: Anyone that is raising their child in a bilingual environment and is happy to speak English while at playgroup.
Age: Any age is fine. Both of our boys are currently 4 months old and so far those that have shown interest have children under age one but like I said any age is okay.

First meeting: Tuesday, May 18 at Kasai Rinkai Koen – The plan is to go to the Aquarium and also have a picnic lunch.

Why the name: Well Chiba is famous for peanuts!
Contact: chiba.peanuts (at) yahoo.co.uk

I know there are other playgroups in the Chiba area (as well as MANY in the Tokyo area) but we decided to make our own because we wanted to meet on week days and explore the area near us. We both speak English with our boys but are married to Japanese men and speak Japanese with them so want to be able to expose our children to English as much as possible.

If anyone is interested in joining us on that day or if anyone is interested in joining the mailing list to find out about future events then please email us at the email above. Also for more information please mail the address above.

Hi, was browsing to find a mother/baby group and found this post. Sounds wonderful, and we live around the Tozai line (Gyotoku). Does this group still meet? Would love to join. Thanks.
