Things I Love Thursday…

  • Blogging more frequently and having lots of helpful comments and advice from others. This is my fourth day in a row blogging and I am glad to be getting back into the swing of things now that Noah is napping longer during the day and sleeping well at night. Not that I think blogging everyday will continue but still it is great to find the time and have the energy to do it!
  • Monthly letters to Noah- I always enjoy writing them and I hope when he gets older he will enjoy reading them.
  • Ikea and Lalaport so close to home. I can`t wait til I have a bike because it is within biking distance of our apartment. At the moment I catch the bus or train but it is only about 5km from here.
  • New friends- made some new friends today and also on Tuesday when we had the first Chiba Peanuts Multicultural Playgroup day!
  • Giggles caused by silver bowls! Haha
  • Trial English lesson plan for next week for 5 mothers at my place. This means though I will have to make sure the house is super tidy as I do not want them discussing the state of my apartment AFTER the lesson! I also have another lesson this Saturday- my regular monthly one although it has been almost 6 weeks since I last saw my student because first her daughter got sick and then I got sick so we had to cancel a couple of times. She has recently returned back to work so I am looking forward to seeing her to see how that is going. Plus extra money is always nice!
  • Design Festa and lunch on Sunday with Cassie, Gaku, Nana, Shun & Noah was lovely! Lots of fun and picked up some cute stuff. Makes me want to pull out my “crafty” supplies and do some knitting, sewing, jewellery making or scrapbooking!
  • Actually scrapbooking is also on the list this week- I have done some more pages recently and I always enjoy it. Hopefully Noah will like it when he is older too although I really think I am doing it more for myself than anyone! It is great stress relief!!
  • Apple cake fresh out of the oven!

What are you loving this Thursday?

I like your blog, it makes me smile, even if it’s a lousy day :)

    2. Melanie

hahahaha…..he so isn`t going to like the naked roller page!!

    3. Hear hear about Ikea and Lalaport close by! The Musashino-sen trains are such a pain in the neck, especially in the evening, imho. You have to wait almost an hour sometimes for a commute that should take 15 minutes at the most! (haha, you see how I’m beginning to be spoiled by the Tokyo train system!) Anyway, I’m thinking about taking the bicycle on a clear weekend day from the house and see how close it really is!

Oh, and I love your scrapbook pages, I think you definitely have a knack for it. It looks like the stuff my Aunts make, and they’re amazing at it ♥ The nekkie page in particular is super adorable… be sure to remember to show that to noah’s girlfriend if/when he brings one home someday :3 I also like the picture of Noah and his Uncle Paul.

    4. Yay for more blog posts!

I can second Lalaport – although its not quite that close by. U and I ended up there Sunday evening and while dinner was a definite bust we had great fun shopping!!

The scrapbook pages are adorable – bright and colourful without taking away from the photographs. Now I feel bad for avoiding my photo album for so long…

    5. Great scrap booking. I was showing my friend my baby books that go from birth to three years. Haven’t even got pic in for Shou’s second birthday and he will be four in three weeks!! Don’t even ask about Marina’s and Ryu’s. Arrgggh. You have inspired me to get up to date though.

    6. I love your scrapbook pages!!! They look awesome. I really need to get more into scrapbooking.

    7. Tiffany

The scrapbook is awesome. You do a great job!

    8. Lily

Those scrapbook pages look amazing. You are already supermom- so active and busy with fun and work yet still time to scrapbook. Seriously you are awesome.

    9. Nay

Wow, I am loving your new scrapbook pages!! They are fantastic.

I can’t believe Lala port is in biking distance to your house *jealous*. Imagine how fit you will get riding to and from there with Noah!! I’m hoping to get a bike this Christmas so that we can go on biking trips as a family… Leilah with me and Milo running beside Naoki!!

The english class at your house sounds awesome!! How did that happen?

    10. Wow, this is impressive! I’m not cut out to be crafty and patient enough to create something like that. Beautiful! Noah is a lucky kid! -Kaho
