Would you believe there's a woman on my Dec. due date club board whose baby didn't poo for 29 days!?! I guess the doctor in America wasn't worried, the baby is exclusively breastfed and the doc said something like breastmilk can be processed really efficiently. Anyhow, when you talked about Noah's constipation I immediately thought of that. I found that nuts, I think I'd be freaking out if my kid didn't poop for almost a month but the mom was pretty calm about it!

Katie I have never heard of that before but I am going to try it!!! I don`t like prunes but have been trying to eat one or two a day to help Noah and feeding him some mashed ones every 2nd day with his breakfast (he luckily seems to like them!)

Thanks for the tip!

Aw! What a spunky little monkey Noah is! I can see how he really loves The Wiggles! So cute how he squeeled when Wags the dog came on! He really does look like Ryu! Sorry to hear about the poo dramas! Yeah, I've heard bad things about giving kids enemas! When my Mum was in the Nursing Mothers Association she used to tell all the mothers to eat oranges when their babies were constipated because it is absorbed quickly by the body and passes through the breast milk to the baby making them poo soon after. So if it happens again, maybe you could try that? As funny as it sounds! :)

G.W- Didn`t your husband realize the voice was an Aussie not a kiwi? :P Ryu and Noah do look a little bit similar though!

Last nights sleep was a little better- he woke up at 10:30 but I resettled him without feeding him and then he slept until 1:45am and then fed again at 5am and back down until 6:45am or so then up for the day. I am just about to feed him and put him down for a morning nap as soon as I reply to these comments (and as son as he gets sick of the jolly jumper!

I still miss the only once a night wake up and feed nights though :-(

Melanie- I thought that about bananas too but apparently in children foods to avoid if babies get consitpated are mashed bananas, pureed apple (but apple juice is okay) and rice cereal....in adults bananas have a lot of fibre so they are good apparently but not in kids.

You are lucky with Misora- Noah poos once every 2 days if all is going well. If he waits longer than that we have issues.

With the houses- I can understand what you are talking about but the earthquake laws changed in 2001 with how they built things so either pre-war or post 2001 are usually safer structures apparently which is why Shun wants something in the last 10 years. It is also a lot harder to get a loan for an older place especially in Tokyo (I am not sure about out here as the land is usually a bit bigger I guess) as they change the housings laws ALL THE TIME. So if you like something and then go ask for a loan they say no because it would be too hard to sell again later because it is 2cm too close to the house next door or the driveway is 30cm too short or blah blah blah. So many rules and we would definitely need a loan as we won`t have enough cash saved for an entire house!!!

In Australia I would have no problems looking at older houses but here I am not so sure.

Hmmm.....I thought bananas had the opposite effect. Misora absolutely loves them, if she sees a banana she stops whatever she is doing and comes crawling over to it. But we....um.....haven`t had any problems in that.....um....area. Quite the opposite in fact. Not bad or explosive, she generally poops twice a day, I tend to like her morning poops better (especially in cloth diapers) as they are more solid and I can just plop them in the toilet without really need to rinse the diaper off.

As for house hunting, when you are looking I wouldn`t bypass the older houses. That is exactly what we were doing but the house we liked (and we`ve asked the realtor about getting the windows replaced along with the door, haven`t heard back from him yet though) was built so much nicer than some of the newer places we had seen. I would say in your search, look at everything you possible can (especially is 1) its in the area you want 2) its in your price range and 3) just so you can get an idea of how different houses are put together so that in your head you can go "I like this this and this but wouldn`t want this")

Love the vids - hub had a look from across the room and thought it was Ryu!!

Those enemas work really well and if you need to buy more they are well cheep from the drug store. Marina thankfully doesn't need them anymore and is even going poo on the potty now. Yay. I can't wait till potty training and night and early morning wakings for the three of them are over. Hope you start getting some more good sleeps.

Father's Day sounds nice. How cute of Noah to have a wee chew before daddy got his prezzies :)
