Would you believe that although my family have been gone for nearly a week I am just catching up on all of my blogs?! I have been such a bad commenter of late - I'm sorry!!

Building your own house sounds great :) That way you can be fussy with what you want/don't want and will end up with something close to your dream house!! YAY!!

Can't wait to see you on Tuesday!

Thanks everyone.

Jumpingoverboard- Thanks! I need to check them out and see what is in them and if there is much added sugar. The one I tried him with was one for babies 6 months and older and in tiny little baby sized tubs (very cute!). I will check it out at the supermarket next time.

Also need to find non dairy butter as I need to start cooking him stuff OTHER than just pureed veggies. Need to start making vegetable stock to mix with some of his food.

Andrea- I think you are referring to cows milk. You shouldn`t give cow`s milk to a child under one. However yogurt, cheese etc should be introduced during 2nd stage of weaning (like after rice cereal/other cereal fruits and veggies)

I mean almost all formula has dairy protein in it as well and that is sometimes given from birth.

He will be off dairy now til a year until we have him tested.

Hi there, I have a 7 month old and read and have heard numerous times that you shouldn't give dairy to a baby under one year as their digestive systems can't handle it yet. That might be the problem?
Anyway, it sounds as though you are keeping him off dairy anyway!
Love the expression too! Hope my daughter comes up with one of them soon!!

hehe that picture is pure awesomeness.

We thought Ash might have had a dairy thing because he got some bad rashes in the beginning but he just grew out of it, I'm sure Noah will be the same but best to take it slowly I guess.

i've seen (and eaten) a soy based yogurt at lots of grocery stores here. it's called something like 大豆から作られたヨーグルト. it's white with blue/purple writing. it tastes a little different than regular yogurt, but if it doesn't cause an allergic reaction, may be worth looking into. :)
