Do you guys know the website Multilingual Living? It has a wealth of information on raising children in a bilingual or multilingual environment and one thing I love about it is that people from all over the globe contribute, sharing their experiences, collaborating on projects and making the possibility of raising bilingual/multilingual children seem so much more real and doable.
Remember the post I wrote a couple weeks back titled Road to Bilingualism ? There were 32 comments on this post (some of them mine but mainly others who offered advice, experiences and information) that were an inspiration, to me at least.

I am just a twenty something Aussie girl living in Chiba, Japan with my Japanese husband trying to make sense of the crazy Japanese world we live in! We welcomed our first son in December 2009 (Noah) and a second son in January 2011, 2 months premature (Shion). I am working hard at raising them to be confident, bilingual, happy kids!
Wow, that’s so awesome, congrats! I know that post started a fun and enlightening conversation at our house, it looks like it was inspiring for others as well! i definitely have it bookmarked away for when we finally need it (you’re still going to be blogging when i start having kids, right? lol!) anyway, hopefully now that it’s out there, more and more people can find it useful
That’s a great site Lulu! They used to do a Magazine and I had an article published in it several years back. They stopped doing the magazine because I guess it was costing more to produce than than they’d make in subscriptions but the site is really cool still. Congrats on being featured there!
