Dear Noah,
Last week you turned 11 months old and well, to be honest, we have been having too much fun in Australia for me to sit down and blog about your 11 month birthday or blog in general actually.
I am sure you will understand that this will be brief (especially since I can`t upload new photos taken recently until next month)
While I write this though you are sitting on the floor watching a show about a fairy and a wizard that sing and chewing on my Aussie keitai. All the toys in your toy cupboard are strewn across the floor and it is almost time for your morning nap.
Your walking has gotten lots better- you love walking outside but still prefer to hold someone`s hand while doing it otherwise you only walk a couple of steps before reverting back to crawling.
When I was just over 10 months old I was given a rainbow bright doll for Christmas from my godfather- it looked like the one below in the picture, except it was green. I adored it so much (and still have it), ate its nose, twisted its ears into oblivion and slept with it well into primary school. My dad saw how much I loved it and bought two more exactly the same but in different colours. One in blue and one in yellow. Well, recently I took it out of the storage box and gave the blue one to you to play with (I will save the yellow one for edamame-kun) and you loved it. I didn`t bring it to Australia but hopefully you will still love playing with it back in Japan.
You are loving the food in Australia- last night you ate lasange with the rest of us and you demolished it. Eating so much that when I gave you a bottle just before bed you were still too full to drink more than 40ml (you would usually have 200ml). Luckily there is heaps leftover and you can have some more for lunch today. Fruit is your main favourite lately- you will eat almost any fruit (except banana. And you also don`t seem to like rockmelon much) and have been enjoying seedless grapes, pear, strawberries, blueberries, mango and cherries. Sometimes I make you a bit of a fruit salad and you gobble that up with yogurt.
This month`s letter is short but I am sure you can understand- mainly it is because we are having too much fun in Australia.
I love you little man- can`t believe that you will be 1 in less than a month. We are also very excited about christmas- since you were only 6 days old last year and just one day out of the hospital.

Oh I remember Rainbow Bright!
Your little man is growing up too quickly! I can’t believe it’s been almost a year since he arrived.
I had the blue Rainbow Bright, exactly like the one in your photo! I bet it’s stored away in a box at my parents’ house – I loved that thing too!
Despite the blue rainbow bright in the picture been 25 years old it is in pretty good condition!! You can tell I preferred the green one better. I will take a side by side shot one day as I have my green one somewhere in Japan too.
Happy eleven months little man. Ryu isn’t a banana fan either but then I don’t think Shou and Marina were and they wolf it back now. Hope you enjoy the rest of your time in Australia. Your ‘second’ (
