Last night my husband and I were talking about how young we were when we met. Mainly, how young we “looked”. We were 19 and 23 when the above photo was taken- 6.5 years ago, 4 weeks after we met. We certainly don`t look this young now in fact I think we look older than we are (26 & 30)- I guess marriage, 2 kids, earthquakes and moving (numerous times!) can do that to you.
This morning I found 3 grey hairs. 26 seems too young to have grey hairs but both my mother and grandmother went grey a lot earlier than this so I suppose I should be grateful.

It’s frighening to look at how we age. Especially after we’ve had kids. My husband had brown hair when we met. 12 years on and it’s mostly grey. Of course he blames me.
You look fabulous then AND now! I got my first grey hair at 17, and lots more now, hence the highlights to blend in better!
You do look young in that photo but I don’t think you look old for your age. I wonder what your thoughts on that photo and your life now will be in 10 years time …

I wouldn`t worry about the grays so much. I had maybe 1 since high school, but after Misora was born I noticed a lot more (I think it was the pregnancy hormones) T has had gray hairs since I met him. When I taught at a high school there was a student there with more than half of her hair gray (somehow I think the japanese get gray hairs a lot earlier).

Greys are endearing, my dear. I started getting them in my early 20′s. Admittedly, I’m going for a *ahem* colouring tomorrow. But still…they are part of what makes me…me

I could be totally gray for all I know… I've been dying my hair since I was 14 LOL!
I started getting grey hairs in my early 20′s (now 28) but have died my hair all shades of the rainbow since university so it’s okay with me
Tak has only just got his first white hair at 36 – lucky man! I quite like it on him though – his “wise age” is here

While I’d agree with the comments that you don’t look older than your age, I’d argue that there is something to be said for looking your age. I regularly have to correct people’s assumptions of my age upwards – I’m the past few years I’ve been mistaken for a HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT more than once. Looking young for your age has it’s bonuses but sometimes it is annnnnnnnoying!

Oh, I think I was 26 when the dreaded day came! It’s been a lot of hair colours since!!!! It happens to the best of us!

I used to dye my hair all the time when living in Australia and still do when I go back but don`t bother much here- as a SAHM I can`t really justify the cost of going to a salon and not comfortable doing it myself. Plus I did get foils twice at a salon here and they were disasters- way too much bleach used because they were not used to foreign hair.
I call my hub oosan which means old man. I am so glad he will always be older than me
