We still have fun. Even if I don`t post much about it or take many photos. All of these photos below are from my phone as well so the quality is not great. I need to pull out my DSLR again and start taking some shots of the boys.
We don`t really have a set daily routine in terms of do this in the mornings and do this in the afternoons but ultimately we try to get out in the morning and afternoon- if we have absolutely no plans we might play in the garden in the morning and then go to the park in the afternoon. If we have plans then we get them out of the way in the morning {Rhythmic class, play “yochien”, supermarket runs or errands, meets ups with friends etc} and still play outside again in the afternoon. In the morning the boys wake up anytime after 6am…sometimes closer to 7am. They get 11-12 hours sleep overnight most nights and still take 2 hour naps…….they might sleep more overnight {earlier bedtime} if we are out and about and they don`t nap or don`t nap well. In the mornings they do their own thing while I do some chores, prepare things for the day if need be and have a coffee and check facebook/emails. They eat breakfast almost as soon as they get up and then they watch some tv for an hour as well {Japanese morning show for toddlers}- they watch and do their own thing. Noah likes to read WHILE the TV is on. They often watch a short dvd in the afternoon as well while I am preparing dinner- sometimes they don`t. On the days we have nothing planned then I will try and think of some fun activities to do and prep them the night before if necessary. I often have a basket that I throw random things in that I can pull out if need be- stickers/paper, crayons, balloons, bubble for when we go outside or chalk and sometimes a game or activity.
Here is some recent snaps of the boys
Do you have a daily routine with your kids? Do you prefer not to have one or find it necessary {like I do} to at least have some kind of routine for the children?
In other news our turf was put down yesterday- so we can`t play out in the garden for 3-4 weeks while it takes root. Then it will be time to put flowers in the gardens, plant some more veggies and herbs and bring out the blow up pool for summer!

Bubbles on the deck! Now that looks like fun!
We have a weekday routine, and we really need it. A few months ago we stopped watching tv during the week and that helped a lot, more time for us!
we kind of have a routine because of our work, but it’s very flexible
nowadays most of the time I just take photos from my phone too.. kids move so fast that by the time I get the camera from the bag/room etc, she’s doing something else! haha
Ai @ Sakura Haruka
That DOES look like lots of funx
Not sure if you’d call it a routine, but routine-like rules. Basically, Haru must take a nap for an hour to an hour and a half some time between 10am and 1pm. He also must be asleep by 8pm at the latest. These things don’t always happen (they usually do, though) and when they don’t I get EXTREMELY stressed. Like, if we are out for the whole day and can’t sleep, he will fall asleep at 4 or 5 pm which would mean a very late night. I feel so bad for him because I make him stay awake until at least six in these situations. I also hate the days I take him to daycare. They have a completely different routine to me, and one *I* think is ridiculous but may suit other parents. Haru usually wakes up around six a.m, but on daycare days we get up at 5:30am. They have lunch at 11am, then don’t put the kids to sleep until about 12:30pm!!!! At home, we have morning tea, nap, THEN lunch. It took me so long and so many complaints to daycare to make sure they wake him up by 2pm at the very, very latest, otherwise he would have a late night and have to be up again at 5:30. Not fair on him. Ugh! I wish I didn’t have to work
